    Just Fricken STUPID!!!

So when I was taking out my NAV to install my Alpine Head Unit one of the knobs on the NAV came off and fell inside the dash. I forgot to retrieve itand instead of taking the dash apart again I figured Id just go to the Chrysler parts counter and order up a new one...I mean how much could it cost right...apparently around $2000.00 because you cant just order a knob you have to order a whole new NAV.

    How frickin Stupid is that?

Typical of life though...you ask for just a knob and they try to give you the whole shaft as well.

    Nice.

how did the knobs fall in? if you were pulling the unit forward?

Was it the nav knob or a radio knob?

BT sell the nav knob that fits on the nav metal joystick. I put mine on yesterday. it uses the smallest set screw I have ever seen!

Had to turn it sideways in the dash to unhook it.

Hell they didn't even offer to lube it up first...Just bend over and take it.

It was the NAV knob. I certainly don't want to order a set of Billet knobs for it as I just want to sell it. Any chance you want to sell the set you pull off of yours? :D

you don't have to buy all 3, just the full nav replacement knob.
my old one is no good to you since it has a polished aluminum cover on it, and the cover is not removable without damaging it.

suggest you email BT and ask for a price for the one item.

All I see on their site is knob covers not actual knobs.

Are you saying you ordered an actual knob?

How much did the set cost?

I feel strange asking another man how much his knob cost.

    LOL!!
Yes an actual knob, not just the cover.
I don't think that part is in their site, Heidi just mentioned it to me when I saw her at a meet. I did not get a specific price - it was in a pkg deal of a bunch of stuff I was ordering. I'm just guessing but maybe 25-35 bucks? there is a lot of precise machining to do it. and i presume you would want it black anodized to sort of match the radio knobs.

    give 'em a call!
