Angry The Charger needs a better horn....

After a close call this morning...I've had it!!!
I don't know about the rest of you Charger owners, not sure about the 300's and the Maggies...there is not too many things I do not like about the Rocket, but one thing stands out from the rest...MY HORN SUCKS, sluggish, soft, not loud enough, can't quickly warn anybody when someone is obliviously veering into your lane while talking on a cell phone (like this morning). Maybe I should talk to SKBY about another type of warning device!!! You have to punch the steering wheel in the middle of the pad for it to feebly work, not a safe thing to do at any speed and then it sounds like a...calf in distress, quite a contrast to the look of the car itself....there, I vented...and I feel great...I'm looking for some sort of fix....CRAP THAT WAS CLOSE THIS AM!!

I understand. I think it's more of a horn placement issue for me and the fact that it requires more pressure to press it down. However, if it's loud and horrifying that you want...you may want to check these guys out:

They have all different kinds lol.

Magnums are the same.I am a strong believer on banning cell phones. It is bad enought that a lot of these so called drivers got there licences out of a cracker jack boxs. The last thing they need to be doing is not thinking when they are driving.

Same thing with the 300's, even if you hit it fairly hard you'll sometimes get an intermitent honk. I think this could solve your problems, lol. http://www.hornblasters.com/

I found this to be an issue as well but have noticed a bit of improvement if pushing again the upper half of the steering wheel rather than dead center. It's a bit easier to get it to sound then. But yes - definitely not the best design.

Yup... train horns will do the trick. And you'll get the added satifaction of knowing that it will take about 20 minutes for their butt to release the seat fabric

I know it... trying to make the horn work is good practice for my CPR technique! Danged-hard to do while driving, though... I'm thinking about mounting a regular push-button switch on the dash somewhere... maybe left of the steering column?

Those mini-air horns might be the thing to do, too. I don't want the full train-horns...

It would be appropriate to have the two horn buttons replacing where the up arrow and the + buttons are on the steering wheel...this tied in with a train horn and a 50mm howitzer would be living in a perfect world.
