    My stock wheels on a crown vic

    I sold my stock wheels to this guy and he put them on his crown victoria. I thought you guys might wanna see them. He sent me these pics.

    That's hilarious seeing the Dodge logo on the Ford.

    Are those 17s? Those look huge on that car.

    They aren't exactly the same bolt pattern. He said that they are close enough that he doesn't notice. They are 17" sxt wheels. They are an upgrade for a CV owner because they can only get 16" wheels. He said he plans to put much lower profile tires on it and remove the rams head and replace it with something more "Ford" like.
    Yes he also said one of the guys on his crown vic forum put stock R/T 18's on his car.

    Tell him that he can get 17" rims from Ford, they come on the Ford Crown Vic LX Sport model. I had them on my 2002 Crown Vic LX Sport.

    I am the tool that decided to give it a try. I am aware of LX Sport wheels but they are like $600 for just the wheels and I have to ship them from US and pay like $300 for customs duties. Then there are the tires. I actually like these a bit more because LX Sport wheels have a bit more dish to them. There is like 0.14 mm difference on each lug so basically, they fit perfect. I've had em on for a couple of days now and they ride nicely. No vibrations or anything. The tires are a bit big but they aren't a priority at the moment. I will get some 255/50/17 on there eventually.

    Oh and I gotta do something about the Dodge logos cause I am getting weird looks from people. I haven't had time to look for some Ford center caps yet but I know that there are a few that will work.
    Oh and believe it or not, pre 98' Crown Vics even get 15"s.

    If you are looking to sell your stock wheels, post them up on crownvic.net, I am sure someone will scoop them up.

    Here is one with some 300C wheels on it.

    I see last week on a mall parking lot a Mercury Grand Marquis from 99-01 with the C's 18" and looks very nice with them.

    My cell phone memory was full and have the micro-sd on the other one so I can't take a pic.

    Serge, I think that they will look pretty good once you get a lower profile tire on there and maybe put some lowering springs in that CV. It looks better than the wheels you had on in my driveway.
