Installed the 9005 HID's in Fog Lights

    Did that install today.

I also put those brake ducts in that were missing from my fascia install this summer. Now that was a bugger! Its extremely hard for one person to line up the brake ducts with the bottom belly pan. I still didn't get it right. I might need a volunteer to help me fix that. I need two sets of hands for that. Not this weekend however. Maybe next weekend?

The 9005 HID's went in OK. They don't exactly fit in the sockets for the fog lights but with a little persuasion they managed to go in and lockup. I put the ballasts on the frame rail at the bottom of the radiator. Everything is concealed from the elements by belly pans etc. I didn't get any pics because Sue's camera batteries are dead.
The HID's look amazing down there. I haven't seen them in the dark yet but they are for sure very bright. Check them out on Sunday evening at the coffee meet.

I just ordered another set this past week. The replacement was way to complicated.

Hey, that's great Andrew! I'm curious, do you get much glare on the fogs, or are they pretty well focused? If you have questions about the brake ducts, and need a picture of something, let me know and I'll see what I can get off mine. They slipped on and off pretty easy when I took mine apart (both times) but they were already lined up...

The fogs are really bright. I'm gonna have to adjust them down abit to keep the glare to a minimum. As for the brake ducts, I don't know why they were such a bugger for me. Perhaps because I couldn't hold one side up while I was doing the other. Hassan is gonna give me a hand on saturday to remedy this. Thanks Jim.

Hassan do you have any of those christmas tree pins layin' about? If not I 'll have to check out CT.

One thing I noticed with HID's is the focal point is quite different than a standard bulb, so how well they're rebased can change where that ends up. But it's good that the fogs are adjustable. I bet they look awesome!!!

I sure understand having help, positioning the fascia! I got lucky last time and had two guys helping me. Same two that changed my heads!

Hopefully once you get it all lined up, it'll stay that way.

Of course, you know, we'll want pictures!
