    Does this sound like a good price from a local Cambridge exhaust shop?

    True X-pipe, with dual exhaust back, with 2 magnaflow mufflers?

    $750 tax-in, installed?

    This is the local Mufflerman on Hwy.24 next to the VW dealership.

    Try Mineke on Eagle street.. I had my magnaflows on there, very nice people.. he readjusted my headers when they were rattling and didn't charge me for it either.. seems to be a very up and up company.. Owner works there so it isn't just a company store.

    Sounds like a good price... but watch ... it might be a bit too droney for you esp with the family.

    lol, if you sat in the Subaru, anything would sound quieter in comparison... i was listening on the magnaflow site... they actually were pretty smart about it... 1 audio clip outside on startup, one as they pass the camera outside, and one inside... could barely hear anything inside!
    pretty nice sounding setup for the v6! only 1 pipe though.

    :(

    as for Meineke... i used to go there for all the exhaust work on both Subaru's but when i had them change the headers, they really messed up... nearly caused an accident on the highway.

    **** happens i know, but i wasn't too keen on the way things were resolved afterwards. kind of left me with a bad taste in my mouth...

    may ask for a quote just to get an idea if the other one is being fair.

    You should watch what you put in your mouth James.

    I had my Zoomers installed at The Mufflerman on 24. They are a stand up bunch of guys. They even put it back on the hoist 8 months later to have a look to see if all the welds were good etc. I would go there again.
    The price you were quoted seems reasonable to me but then I paid for Zoomers.

    Anyone remember the guy with the Go man go Daytona that came out to visit us at one of the meets? He owns or runs his own shop here in K/W. Was it Dan Kent?

    Tweaks listens intently.

    My wifes number one upgrade wish is a nice throaty exhaust... she says the hemi should sound like it makes power since it has so much there.

    I wish i had a good recommendation but im fairly new to KW and an even newer LX owner.

    As Moondoggie said, I found them to be a good bunch of guys and work is top notch. Price was about the same as you were quoted.

    Yeah Joe has him pegged. He had his wife in the car and we didn't even know she was there until he had been there for 20 minutes. Then he attempted a burn-out with the ESP ignited. It was kind of embarrassing. He tried it like 5 times in a row. Fred talked to him at length. I didn't even know he had a muffler shop. He never surfaced again. Hmmmmmmmm.
