    What's it going to take

Maybe I'm off base posting this -- and if that is the case the Moderators can delete it but anyways -

What is it going to take to get each member to get one more LX person to join the ALX Club.

How about that LX sitting beside you at the red lite - no I don't mean hit the gas as hard as you can when it turns Green, How about a wave, or maybe a gesture - hint to have a drink/coffee. Roll your window down and ask him/her if they would like to stop in the lot ahead for a minute and compare cars. It doesn't take much.

I've recruited one with another one in the works; if everyone just got one new member a month do you realize how big this club could grow to. And what we don't realize is it is FREE - yes FREE and how many clubs can you join where it is FREE - NADA - NOTHING, just your participation.

Your comments - good or bad - I've got my cast iron shorts on so I can take it all.

Funny enough I tried that gesture thing, sitting at a set of lights in my SRT and look over to see another SRT 300 right next to me. SO I wave at him signal to roll the window down, I get this A$$HOLE look like he's too damn good to talk. So I had to show him who a really A$$HOLE is and blew doors off with a little bark to it, after the fact I noticed the dealership plate on the back. Felt like an idiot after the fact.
But another time at Londonderry mall in Edmonton I run into a guy with a Red SRT Charger and he had no clue about anything about his car. Real nice guy YA RIGHT, after finding him a couple deals on some parts for his car some helpful no cost idea's and setting him up at the dealerhip for a TSB recall that A$$HOLE never appreciated it.
Actually the only real nice person that I showed the direction for this site that actually ended up a member and even showed for the M&G in Calgary was Nygil. Not sure what the heck happened to him now though, was all gung ho on the site and after the Calgary meet haven't seen hide nor hair of him now. I know he was rather pi$$ed to see all the problems that I pointed out to him about his car, sure hope it wasn't a write-off repair.

Well I talked to one owner, he's in the process of joining and another one that is interested. I do know what you mean about some people that seem better than us poor, lowly folks. I came up beside a really young person in an SXT, Tried to talk to him and he told me to P**S O** so I did, I sucked him right up one tail pipe and spit him out the other. I'm not sure what it is with some people.

Really enjoyed meeting Nygil on Friday, 27th and then seeing him again on the 28th. I emailed him a copy of the TSB so he could get his Magnum fixed for the right pull. From what I understand he's the second owner so I don't think it's a write-off, maybe just a small fender bender but I think it can be fixed up right. Maybe I'll email him and see if he got the TSB and if he's going to Airdrie on the 11th.

OK, so here's something I came up with.
This one you can print and leave on your dash, or leave under windshield wipers of LX's you see in parking lots, or, just hand out,,,,,
Click on the links, or right click on the picture and "Save Picture As" or, right click on the picture and "Print Picture"
    http://s127.photobucket.com/albums/p...rrent=ALX2.jpg

This one you can print and rip/cut into 4's,,,
    http://s127.photobucket.com/albums/p...rrent=ALX1.jpg

This one is a smaller version you can print and,,,,,
    http://s127.photobucket.com/albums/p...urrent=ALX.jpg

Maybe if more people know where to go and how to get there, and see what's happening out there, and if they're interested, and they have a computer and know how to run it, and they're not an anal orifice,,,,,,

Looks good, how many do you want, I can bring them to Airdrie on the 11th, any size? I've got about 30"X60' of High Gloss paper I want to get rid of.

might be an idea, if someone from the club is entering their car, they can put one on the windshield or somewhere to get the message across.

I'm thinking handing out counterfeit 50's or 100's might work or posibly a nude girl or two. One of the main problems I have when trying to pass on the Website to a new person is that we don't have a direct web address. I keep tellling people to goto lxforums.com then goto the car clubs then find us. It just sucks trying to explain it sometimes.

Yes I know what you mean, When trying to make something up for the club it is impossible to put the web address up as as you say there isn't a direct web address to the site; but I guess we can't really complain as it's free and to run just a forum takes up a lot of storage space. Maybe some day we'll have our own web space, I wonder if Chrysler Canada would be interested in supply the space????

We're just trying to get things cleared up around here so we can get away to Airdrie tomorrow, we would like to get out of here around noon if possible.

If you put the whole address in it will take you right there to the ALX site.

I think what STS and myself are saying is it is easier if the address was something like this - www.legrooms/alx, which is very easy to remember. I had thought about putting the address that you have in something but it looked really weird and certainly not very professional.

Hey neighbors, here is what we did for the Texas crowd. I figure they can hear about our local clubs once they get to the Texas forums. We are spreading these all over Texas by leaving them tucked in the drivers door.

For your first order, only order the minimum amount of "free cards" from www.Vistaprint.com . After that initial order, they will start sending you weekly discounts that they put in your acct. Our last order was 1750 cards, a rubber stamp and "free" book-keeping software delivered in 3 days for ~$40usa. About $15 of that was because we had a huge show the next weekend and didn't want to miss having them for that.

I plan to make some changes to include something like:

Population: 14,994 members strong & growing
My Duster is getting an Inertia Motorsports HEMI!

Didn't you make it to the Texas ALL MOPAR event benefiting the Tx School for the Blind?

    Web navigation/address

That's kinda why I went simple, LXforums.com and then provided navigation to the ALX location. They could then bookmark it.

At least just saying lxforums.com is easy to remember, trying to say all that mumbo jumbo address is imposible. Heck I can't even remember my phone # half the time.

Now I see you let the cat outta the bag. LMAO funny I say that just after you posted a picture of your cat on a different thread. Great idea Jim, wife and I are going to make the show after all. We should be followed by some other northern members as well. It's hard enough getting attention to promote the club, I think your idea's are great and hope it gains some intrest.
