VHT nightshades - where to buy?

Bought this stuff years ago for my other car from Canadian tire, but apparently they dont sell it anymore... Anyone have any idea where I can get it? Its the spray-tint paint commonly used for tinting tail lights.

Tough to find locally. I live 10 miles from VHT and I can't get it anywhere but the internet.

Or someone can just give you the half can that he has in his trunk. LOL Now just take the extra time and do it right, light sanding, I did 3 coats and about 6 coats of clear after. Or just keep clearing until it's glossy.
Wow did your HID's flicker when we left Hooters, do they get better when they warm up or is that why you never turned on your park lights ?

My guess is Jay's lights flicker with low RPM. I followed him south down Deerfoot after the cruise and they never flickered once.

The kit that I can get installed here hasn't had any problems on Chuse2Muse car. I'm most likely going to run my car over to him next week. The company name is E H Electronics, he had a booth at Sema.

They only flicker at lower RPM's and when I'm actually stopped in traffic… something to do with the lower voltage… either way, it’s a pain in the ass!
I’ll be stopping at radio shack after work tonight to pick up a small $1.49 capacitor to install across the relay… apparently this is all it takes to fix the problem… other than that, for a plug n play HID kit I’m more than happy.

Thank you very much for that Mike...
I'll be sure to do them right... I'm still deciding if I want to leave the reverse lights clear or not...

You would think the buck and half cap would be already included when they made the kit. They look awesome just the flickering would drive me nutz. Good luck on the tail lights, I find sometimes the cheapest mods are some of the nicest mods IMO.I picked up another can of the VHT already to do some other tails for some friends. Taking my car in for the HID's this week I hope.

The HID kits generally don’t anticipate a pulsating trigger signal that the charger gives to try to add life to the stock halogens… By adding a small cap in the system it cleans up the trigger signal to a constant 12 volts, rather than a fluctuating / pulsating one that’s messing with the HID’s ballasts at lower RPM’s where the voltage is slightly lower…
I’ll let you know how it all turns out tomorrow as I plan to fix it up tonight if I can get a hold of a 470uf cap…
