    They are half way here!!

Some of you know I ordered a set of staggered custom wheels awhile back from Ernie at 402 Motoring, and have been keeping my mouth shut about the specs regarding these wheels. It's been hard not telling people what my secret little order was, but as of a couple days ago I got word from Ernie that the wheels had arrived in New Jersey, and he was getting ready to mount the rubber and ship them my way!

These are MHT Forged Edition 2 piece Sprint wheels. The fronts are 20x9 and the rears are a fat 20x11. Ernie is slapping on some Toyo Proxies, with 255's in the front and 295s in the rear. I know I'll be able to push into the 300s for rears when I replace the 295s, but for now I'm playing it safe since Ernie isn't "just around the corner" from me if I went big and they didn't fit (or I do something dumb, lol.)

Oh, and to add to the coolness factor, I've got a buddy at MHT, who told me these will be the first of this model to cross the border into Canada!

Here's a link to Ernie's "first peek" post in the 402 Motoring section:
    MHT Fordged Sprint

And just because I love looking at them, and for those who don't want to click the above link, here are my favorite pics, let me know what you guys think:

You have no idea Ernie... you and Lori are awesome, thanks for putting up with me, I can't recommend you guys enough!

Seriously guys and gals, if your looking for wheels, or anything custom for that matter, he may be far away geographically, but only a phone call away for the best of the best. If the service I've received regarding my tail lights (also done by Ernie) is any indication, I'd rather deal with him then a local shop any day. Sometimes a little wait for good quality is better then a rush for something inferior.

Putting up with you? You were a charm. I wish all my customers were like you. Today I had a local customer that bounced a check on some wheels and thought he could give me another check and had an attitude about the whole thing. I started getting into it with him and Joey called the cops. Since we are in such a small town they were here in 30 seconds. In fact my town is so small the cop who answered the call actually was the one who responded to the scene. Needless to say I won!

Those will look sweet. I've got some rims and tires coming from the US too (Discount tire direct) and I was really excited....until I saw yours. Well OK, I'm still excited, but I'm envious of the rim width you RWD guys can run!

Nicely done, haha, come out with torque wrenches swinging! Well, keep em shiny for me... and let me know when they board that truck... I'll be taking some time off and sitting on the front porch... waiting, lol.

I've never asked before, but looking at the pictures now, what is the measurement of the lip on the front and rear of those wheels? I'm thinking I'm going to have to invest in some serious wheel cleaner, lol!

Hmmm, I'll have to measure them tomorrow for you, plus I post some pics of them mounted on the tires.

Great choice and STAGGERED thats awesome. Some days i wish i didn't have the SRT and just an R/T. SRT's are a pain when it comes to the offset thats it i'm pulling the calipers off, who needs brakes anyhow. I thought the MHT's were big money ? I've had my eyes on the DUB Dirty Dogs myself but offset is the issue. AWESOME WHEELS !!! Can't wait to see them.

Those are nice looking wheels for sure, kind of remind me of the wheels a buddy of mine has on his 300srt8. They'll look sharp with the black accents to match your car.

THAT is a great looking set of wheels! Congratulations.

Maybe next year for me. I have to use up a bunch of my business money (company car) cuz I had an accident with my truck on Friday. Gotta by a TIG welder and fix my aluminum trailer. I'm not gunna pay someone else to do welding I can do.

Maybe see you at the get together.

I think the same way Magnacharged. I hate paying people for things that i can do myself as well. Hope the wreck isn't going to cost you much, at least a TIG welder is an investment also a write off as well. I WANT WHEELS AS WELL GUYS !!! But i'm tinkerin with performance right now. Sinking a little dough into my Chevelle as well, playin with two or three cars at once isn't cheap.

Well thats it, I broke down today and purchased a set of Sevas S10 22's today from Ernie at 402 as well. Too many a-lx members buying wheels or already have them and I snapped. I've gotta keep up with the times so now I should see my new wheels next week. I'll have to bring out the drule bib for the M&G. LOL My wife gave up with my spending habits and my addiction to cars.
