    Suggestions on Brake pads

    Hey Guys,

I have to change my front brake pads on my 06 R/T, any suggestions as to preferred brands and locations in a round Calgary to pick them up... If you have prices, that would be a bonus...

    Thanks,

    Larry

Are you looking for a basic replacement or something a little more?

If the latter, you will need to take wear, squeal, and dust into consideration. Many forum members are using Hawk pads - do a quick search to find out more information. I will certainly switch over to something Hawk (or a different company) offers when mine need to be replaced.

I was looking for basic (swap) replacement without upgrading the rest of the braking system. Having said that, I want something that's good and don't mind paying a little extra for good pads...

Don't grease the back of the pad, use CRC Brake Quiet on the backs of the pads. it holds the pads to the caliper thus preventing a rattle and also insulates the pads from the caliper which helps stop the noise transfer into the caliper

So, are Hawk pads and the premium ones from Auto Pro the only ones being recommended?
