sorta on topic. i replaced my r/t seats with srt seats and both my airbag lights are on..
kinda sounds like they need recaled to extinguish the warning light....
let me know if you find an alternate to taking it to the dealer to fix.

if your car has the seat weight sensors, you'll need to get the system recalibrated afterwards.

although it can be done without a dealer visit, you'll need a dealer scantool.

I have the same issue in the Magnum (JGCSRT seats), but only on the passenger side. It's weird, because if my wife sits in the seat the light goes out, but the way my daughter fidgets in the seat, it's constantly chiming as it goes off/on.

For the right price you can have the seats, and I'll throw in the car for good measure.

There is a simple solution for that.

from what the database said about removing seats and after my experience removing seats. I understand that if your remove the passanger seat you'll need to recalibrate the passanger side airbag if any weight is put on the seat while it's removed. (if your doing it to clean carpets not worth headache IMO)

if the seat is equipped with weight sensors, the system must be recalibrated anytime the seat bolts are loosened/retorqued in order to ensure porper system operation. seat weight sensors are extremely sensitive to bolt torque and will read differently when torque is removed/reapplied. just because the warning light is off does not mean the system will perform as designed during a deployment event.

I have a 2008 charger police pkg the department swapped my driver seat (that had an airbag) with a 2007 non airbag seat. All the junkyards I call say there never were airbags in the seats. However my passenger seat has a tab sewn into the back cushion that says airbag. I need a black cloth drivers seat with an airbag... Anyone here have one?
