    Race City Friday August 10

If anyone is interested in coming out, I’ll be testing out the new pcm Friday night at the track. I’ll probably head down for about 530/6ish to beat the rush at tech.
So far weather is looking just about right… not too hot and no precipitation in sight.

It'll be interesting to see how you make out with the new PCM. Do you have your results from the runs previous to the instal? What is the biggest difference that you've noticed so far, just in the shifting or in the motor as well?
Smoke em if you got em!

I had taken the car to the track once before with exhaust, intake, and 180 deg stat. All runs were very consistent 13.9’s @ 104-105mph with 2.2 60 foots at race city.
Not sure if theres really a biggest difference, there are many little things that seem to be waking the car up.
Right after installing the new pcm starting the car up even sounded better! I haven’t had a chance to run 94 octane yet, but I plan to fill up with it once all my 91 is just about right dry.
You definitely feel more power in the motor as well as the shifting harder. The car is more responsive and pulls quite a bit harder up top.

Where the heck are you finding 94 octane ? Hey Chuse you should think about the harder shifts !!! Justin you should go for a burn in Chuse's car now with the cam and head swap she really pulls hard. Ray took me for a drive yesterday and wow what change, now he just has to do something with the grampa shifting tranny.
I'm still going for the full bore myself 426 it shall be by next season.

94 octane is available at the Husky on McLeod trail and about 46th ave, and the Mohawk just off Glenmore by Barlow trail. Not sure of any other stations in Calgary yet that offer it. There are a few Shells that have 92.

They are calling for rain tomorrow now as well… we’ll see what happens, but its not looking real good for the track. (That’s always the case when I’m free and ready to go)

The rims are Cragar 17x9s with nitto 555r 275/40/17 drag radials. Ive only run my car at race city once when it was stock and hotter then hell and was running 14.0s with 2.3-2.4 60' times.

Well, looks like the forecast calls for clearing skys tonight, and cold temps…. I guess the fait of the track will be dependant on whether or not shes dry enough out there.
If it doesn’t do any precipitating from here on, I’m going to head down for 6ish and see what the deal is.

    No go for tonight L

Called the racer info line and apparently its too cold out to properly dry the track.

Next Calgary secret street night is August 24th. I may run up to Castrol on the 17th.
