you may want to give some idea's what direction you want to go, or how much you want to spend. the best dollar for HP value would probably be to spray, but not this is not everyones cup of juice.
no im looking for mostly stuf that wont hurt the engine like maybe ignition or even a nice supercharger, i dont really care about the price i can always save lol, and i heard of some kind of computer flash but ive seen 3 different stages so im just looking for the most hp
Best bet Skeet, get ahold of Raygun. That guy has done some outrageous mods to his 300 SRT8. The bonus of talking to him is that he is in this group, lives in Calgary, and can help you contact the right people to get a good price. Hope this helps.
Reply to the email I sent you at the address you provided, and I'll give you Raygun's email address.

Spray is very safe if its done correctly. A75 hp shot would be like nothing for a 6.1. But if money isn't a big deal then heads, cam, built bottom end, perhaps a 426 stroker kit, then if you need more a supercharger or nitrous. I'd be scoping out some better halfshafts. Of course if you run under 11.5 sec you'll need a roll cage.

How would a stock 5.7 handle a 75 shot? I've looked into kits before, as far as pricing anyway, but I've never really looked into how my lil' 5.7 would take to the spray.

I've killed a couple vehicles on NOS. Twisted the crank on a crotch rocket, blew out a couple head gaskets and burnt some pistons, twisted drive shafts on race cars. The only benifit to NOS is CHEAP to install. Just don't get greedy with it, start running over the 100hp and risk breaking things, not just engine parts. Half shafts are some issues that other members are experiencing. You may want to try a torque converter for better launches, there is only so much that the superchips flash can do. I'd also check into turbo's, talked to many members about there systems and there are alot less problems. The only problem i find with some turbos is all the plumbing from front to back of the car, IMO best way to go.
Halfshaft issues are occuring on vehicles with "significantly" more power, and only when employing drag slicks at the track.. No one yet has reported braking on the street.
Again, a 100shot on a 5.7 is a non-issue as long as it is connected properly to sense the fly-by-wire throttle. The reason being the PCM will reduce throttle and possibly fuel under certain conditions even though you are WOT.
Only one company at present is anywhere near close to offering a turbo for the 5.7, they (Cartuning.com) reside in the Toronto area.

However the same issues will apply with the turbo as they do with the GSM/Hennessy superchargers, that is rear cylinder lean-out at anything over 5psi. The OEM manifolds are not designed for adequate fuel distribution under larger boost conditions. At present larger injectors are helping, but this produces an aggregate overly-rich condition on those cylinders which previously were acceptable.

Well now i'm planning to install the ZEX NOS kit. I wasn't going to do it, but now i'm wanting to swap heads, cam and stroke the block. I'm going to run the 125hp jets and if she blows ( O WELL ) then it gives me the reason to stroke it. The times i ran at the track were crap, a 13.8 was the fastest. But now with a baseline figure well see what the NOS does. I should have the kit in the car in the next week, pending on how busy i get. A buddy at Mopac says he has a kit in stock, by the way the kit that is made for 05 and newer HEMI made by ZEX is #82177 and if your interested i can get a group buy for the ALX members. The price sofar that i was quoted for one kit $750.00 plus GST and once i find out if anyone else wants a kit i'll get the group buy price.

I still haven't picked up my N2O kit but now a new deal has come up and I will not be installing the kit. If anyone is looking for the Zex N20 for there car I can pass the deal on to who ever wants it. I'm still not sure the cost of it in full, I believe I was to pay around $750 + tax in Edmonton. I have come across a deal for a supercharger now, been in contact with numerous companies and had one company set up the whole package including the Paxton blower and some SMT-6 (not sure what the heck this thing is), added injectors, spark plugs and a list a mile long of parts and they say it's the only way to get around blowin up. Cost of this has gone way up, almost $9000.00 by the time it gets here. I was going to go with the NOS originally CHEAP and relatively safe if hooked up right but I don't feel like filling bottles.
Awesome! I've wanted to supercharge my 5.7 since I bought it, but the horror stories kept me away. As I'm sure a 6.1 install is basically the same as a 5.7 I'm anxious to see how yours turns out!

I believe the only difference is the MDS. The only bummer and why is going to take till mid August to put in is the cost. I just ordered the Hotchkis set up and i'm still looking at some black face with a 3" lip wheels as well. But I have decided to just stay with 20's and run the factory rubber. I plan on driving the car to Sema this year, see how many of our WHITE ALBERTA PLATES show in there caravan. I was worried running 22's or larger might run into problems, pot holes, bumps and what about a posible blow out. At least with the run flats i can still keep moving to the next town.
