I need a favour from an ALX member.

Could one of our ALX members with a Magnum RT do me a favour? I need to know if your front windshield is fully tinted ( which I think it is ) or a partial tint along the top.

The reason I'm asking is the body shop put the new windshield in wrong and have to replace it again and I think the original windshield was very lightly tinted and the one they put in had no tint at all, not even the upper tint. The way I have done this in the past is to put a piece of white paper on the inside of the windshield and looked at it from the outside, this should show up any tint that there is,

All cars with A/C should have a factory tint. My replacement in my truck was clear and I had them change it out for the factory tinted with the top sun strip as well. Factory my Charger never came with the sun strip but as you all seen I don't pi$$ around and did the whole window. It was kind of a pain in the night though.

My original windshield was tinted with out a sun shade at the top. The one I have now is also tinted but also has the sunshade at the top. The glass is from PPG which is supposed to be one of the better ones out there. They are the OEM for Honda. There are some cheaper manufacturers out there that will end up pitted inside of 6 months and crack if you breath on them. In most cases if it is tinted it will say something in the label in one of the corners of the glass, in my case it says Solex and Sunshade.

That's what I thought, the windshield they put in the first time is just plain clear, I'll be going down there at 8:00AM to tell them to get the right one or they'll be replacing it again.
