Edmonton, Castrol, Oct3-4, last chance for a race

Hello Everyone

I am taking that weekend off from work. The track looks like it closes down after that for the winter. Who is all interested? I have a party saturday night to attend. But the rest of that weekend I will be living at the track. Is it usually a big turn out for this?

My last run was at 23.34. @ 13.843 @ 105.3. My best of the night was 13.74@ 103.54. My best speed was 105.95 with a time of 13.769. I am hopeing to have bags of ice there and stuff like that for the weekend.

Depends on the weather. Last years turnout was pretty large on the first day but next to no one on the next. It had rained but we dried the track out and ran anyways. Have fun.

I’ll be there Saturday afternoon… anyone know what time they get started at?
I wont be able to stay too late – got a dinner to go to – but I’d like to get a few runs in with the cooler temperatures and see what happens.

No. I will be at work that weekend. I could go this Friday but have actually lost all interest in Dodge at the moment...... because of my Ram. Haven't even started the car for over a month. Maybe next year.

I’m rolling out of Calgary tomorrow afternoon. Have a few things going on tomorrow night and Friday up in Edmonton but still plan to race Saturday afternoon at Castrol. Looks like they open at 8am both Saturday and Sunday. I am thinking the temperatures will be way too cold till at least noon so I plan to get there about then. Hope to see some of you there! Looks like I may be the lone Calgary member coming up so don’t be shy to come by and say hi.

BTW run the car if you do make it! How else will you know if its a slouch or a sleeper!

lol Have you ever run anything down the track?
Sure I can help with some tips that seem to work for me. I am no expert but have been involved with drag racing all my life and racing occasionally for about 10 years now.
