Any ALXers in the Calgary area have access to a CAD program and printer? I oredered a sink for a bathroom reno but it won't be available for 3 more weeks, and without the template the granite company can't cut the countertop, which in turn is holding up my tile setter. However the template is available on the Kohler website, but I need access to a CAD program and printer to download and print it. Can anyone help me????

Let me talk to a friend of mine. He just graduated from SAIT where he took mechanical desgin and engineering and used CAD programs on a daily basis. I'll see if he's still got connections.
What size do you need it printed? Maybe you could post a link to the template?
In theory, the shop cutting the granite should be able to use the template available from Kohler on their own. They should be able to put it directly into their CAM software to program the CNC machines to cut it out. The only thing you should really need to do is inform them which one they need to use - with no need for you to print it out.
(I worked 2 years in a cabinet shop and I've been trying to get into Cambria, which is a company that makes simulated granite counter tops)

Unfortunately, this shop doesn't use CAD CAM. As for the link to the template, this is the Kohler site for the sink: KOHLER Canada: K-2824: Serif® undercounter lavatory: Sinks: Bathroom From there click on "For Installers and Designers". The file is listed under "Cutout Template". It's a DXF file.
I just emailed the dxf file to myself. I'll take it to the high school I work at on Monday to see if I can print it for you. If I can't get it printed, you could always try Staples/Office Depot. They have engineering printers, I just don't know about the software. You'd have to call first. I'll let you know on Monday how it goes.
Thanks MTX!!!
It measured perfectly Jason. I can't thank you enough!
