Exhaust cut out (eletrical), and are they a good idea. I mean do they sound crap. I was told it's a rather simple prosedure, but is it really worth it?

There are plenty of sound/video clips floating around (scroll through here: The Official Exhaust Sound/Video Clip Thread).
DaddyYankee here in Lethbridge has cutouts on his 5.7L Charger and they are loud!
I guess in the long run you just have to ensure that they do not leak ... although I hear this issue has been solved recently by companies such as DMH.
and if ya drive in the snow with em i garantee the wires will break off them.

i have a set on my 81 mazda, and i just got i put a set on my 51pontiac very very simple to install,
probably gonna put a set on my magnum rather then do exhaust,
you can up turn the set i have and the wires from the motor are insulated
I don't know from experience but i was thinking about putting them on my Charger and my exhaust guy told me they are more trouble then they are worth(Fun at first but after awhile never quite seal right anymore) So i didn't bother.

They can start "sticking" as well if they are not kept up.
One member in Red Deer has them on his 300c. All I can say is WOW!!! Sounds nice at a flick of a switch.
