ALX it's that time, September LXOM.

Well, we had one of our own make it to the final 4 in the last poll which was a really great accomplishment, and a testament to the kind of people we have in this club. The time has come again to nominate someone for this position, and I'd like to see ALX on the board yet again.

As said previously, the nominee must be someone who has more then just a nice looking car. The individual should be nominated based on a number of things including but not limited too:

- Assistance to other members.
- Reputation on the forum and in this instance, in the club.
- If the member has done something to really set himself out from the group.
- In our case, if the member has shown a real dedication and desire to see the reputation and success of LXForums and ALX increase.

There can be many other variables as well, so please nominate someone and lets get them noticed and acknowledged!

If you have received a helping hand or advice from another forum member outside of ALX, or you have been positively affected by another member, please feel free to nominate them as well, there are many worthy individuals on this site, and so many deserve to have their names on the list.

Now that I have given the general notice regarding this contest, I would like to bring forward a name and see if others agree. This individual is a fairly recent member to the club, but in a short time has made himself a stand out as both a source of advice, and unlimited energy and ideas. He has really pushed to get this club, and the forum as a whole noticed, and has supplied some of the coolest car show props a club could ever ask for.

He has never asked for a dime for the hard work, labour and materials he has put into the club, and even with a damaged Maggie, he drove the 6 hour round trip drive twice to attend meets in Calgary and Airdrie. He is one of our most predominant posters, and a source of incredible ideas on how to make this club bigger and better. He gets along with everyone, and seems to know just enough about everything to be dangerous, and a blast to talk to.

I'd like to take this opportunity to acknowledge Jim (Hemi RT) for everything he has done, and put the first vote in for a stand up guy who has really put a solid effort into our club.

Hemi RT has my vote. He voted for me last month and beleived that I had a chance, he has my vote because of all the time and effort to make this site better everyday. Sorry Chris I was going to vote for you but if you and all the other A-LX members vote for Jim he will really have a good chance at it. Well what can I say, I'm over whelmed - don't know what to say but Thank You for the vote of confidence.

When I saw the call for nominations I was going to nominate you Chris for all the work you have done in setting up the club and getting us a place to rant and rave.

Now I'm not sure what to do???

The things I/we (my wife) have done for the club were done to get our club growing and the only way I can help do this is by giving things we can produce to get the public and more importantly other LX owners to know about us. This Honor is a GREAT thank you but I thought and still think that there are others in our club that deserve it more than myself.

I totally agree with everything said in this thread so far. I have met Chris, and have seen his hard work to get the little band of Alberta LX owners off the ground and would nominate him in a minute. I have not had a chance to meet Jim yet, but his contributions to the club have also been great. It looks like we will be putting Jim's name forward this month and I am in total agreement. Once Jim wins, we'll simply go with Chris next, and make it back to back ALX wins!!!

I was going to nominate Chris.. I don't think I know Jim, then I remembered Chris didn't help me with my brakes.. (lol) and since I don't know Jim, I will nominate myself... HA! .....Good thing the legal meds just wore off as I'm typing this..... I'm voting for Jim... Chris gets my vote next time... Then it will be Jean Chretian...

I know we've got some lurkers in this club, and I'm seeing them online all the time, so c'mon guys and gals! If your enjoying all the useful info you get from watching us banter about and post things we've learned the hard way, this is the one thread you need to speak up in, votes are a way of acknowledging a member for there commitment and hard work to this community.

I see you all down at the bottom of the page, so I hope at the very least you take the time to place a vote for someone you feel deserves it!!
