That looks similar to the lift that JonW has at his shop!

Why, you thinking of getting one also?

You may be able to find a used one for far less money too. I think Ken's was $400.

I have a Bend Pak XPR-10ACX. Both Bend Pak and Rotary are great brands.

Here's a link to mine. They also have a very complete comparison there of the Bend Pak and Rotary Lifts.
    http://www.gesusa.com/BendPak-XPR-10...t-p/120119.htm

There are always deals around SEMA time.

I would only look at used lifts if you are already very familiar with them. Any small issue with the lift could negate any savings you may get. They also require 220 wiring and have minimum specifications for the cement on which they will be mounted. The four post lifts are nice as well and can do double duty as stackable storage (1 car on lift, 1 under it).

Make sure you get the specs for the lift prior to having your slab poured. There is a minimum PSI rating and thickness you need on the cement.

    Oh yeah for sure!

I already plan to run the 220V over to that side of the yard when we drywall and do the electrical for the garage.

which is why its going to be a big project... i need to move my AC to that side of the house and run new electrical throughout the garage...

If at all possible, you want to stay away from this style lift that has the floor runner. It gets in the way when you are moving equipment around, but more importantly, if you get a 2 post lift with the overhead bar, it acts as a weight equalizer that adds MUCH more stability to the lift.
