Sema is a week away... Fatchance aint the only one stressing...

I spent all day helping my buddy get the motor put in his 05 mustang for SEMA... snapped a couple pics...

this is the motor: Forged 4.6L 3V Stock compression... with a MASSIVE 2.3L positive displacement edlebrock E-Force Blower with the tiny pulley...

Ok.. got the motor all in... engine bay isnt as easy to work with as the LX... but still better than older Mustangs... Thing is wedged in there pretty good...

Here is a side shot from the side of the fender... good thing he got that 3" cowl hood...

If anyone went to the temecula mall cars and coffee... this is my buddy kris with the M3... if you see him at SEMA stop by and say whats up... nice kid...

One more shot... before we got the motor in... we thought the car could possible run this this guy powering it...

    he was not amuzed...

Fatchance has no reason to stress he just sits and watches other people work on his car....

HAHA yeah so does my Buddy... Me, his GF, and two other friends (1 of which built the motor) all put it in while he watched... LOL

He is great at designing... not the best at wrenching...

I left early but i guess last night they finished the blower install... tonight is the transmission, then it goes back to the paint shop to get the body finished being assembled and new springs and swap bars... THEN it comes back to him to get the new gauges wired up, new rims, and hopefully a base tune to run while the motor gets broken in...Should be a fun week! I love this kind of stuff!

And yeah... my son lays down oil slicks rather than VHT... LOL

HAHA well then i wont tell you what he paid for the motor... he got no love on the blower though... edelbrock was not helping anyone out with these...

His car is absolutly AMAZING... if you see it at sema stop and check out the interior... its all black alcantara (gt500 dash wrapped in it too)... as well as customer wraped and sticked corbeau seats... kid is an amazing car designer... he designed the whole car as a 3d model... its a feature car for sema... but may end up in the TSW Wheel booth... he will know tomorrow...

Damn, so why'd Kris go with them then? Isn't that the point of a sponsership?? They get free advertising, screw that, I'd cover up the Edelbrock logos w/ CarsbyKris.com stickers....

he went with them cause Whipple and Kenne Bell were giving him no love either... and this blower looks titts!!!!

Yeah he is already planning on having the top ground down and putting his logo in paint on it...

Spent 5 hours on the car again last night... holy crap the transmission weighs probably as much as i do... empty... and the stupid Torque convertor is a PITA!!!! anyhow... Motor and trans are "bolted in" still need to finish reinstalling the wiring harness for the engine... but the car is back on the trailer to the body shop to get the dash and rest of the interior installed... if i can get back over there this week ill get some pics... its turning out really really nice!

Oh and he has PLENTY of sponsors....

He called Fluidyne yesterday to get pricing on a new radiator (the old shop he used to go to was Jacking his car from the radiator and messed it up)... and by the end of their conversation he got a new race radiator for free... sent out next day air...

not to mention he has autometer gauges for free, TCI shifter, TCI torque Convertor, Eibach Suspension, possibly TCW wheels, and a bunch of stereo stuff...
