25 cents will get you a nice ring, but not a diamond. i know a jeweler at the jewelry district in downtown l.a. that's where i got my former wife's ring. $1350 for a white gold band with a 3/4 princess cut diamond - quality grade since they know me. and then simple wedding bands for her and myself were $250. but again i got a good deal on it for knowing them. =\

My best advice is to get help from a friend in the business like what was offered to you above! I learned from an employee of mine who was in the business for a long time and I will never purchase jewlery on my own again I saved over 2k on my ring alone!
