Unhappy Need front 5.7l brake pads

Anyone have a set of the OEM 5.7l front brake pads just laying around?

I'd like to see if its my pads causing problems.

If you have a set of OEM front rotors that aren't warped or scored, that would be great to test as well.

There is still plenty before the squeal sensors make contact.

Here's a picture of my front pads.

I filed down the edge like when they new anyways to see if the occasional squealing subsides.

Andrew if you still interested I may have a set of pads laying around, I'll have to look at the shop. Just a little of what I have found on brake squeek on the magnum - New stuff (pads and rotors) gets rid of the squeek for a little while, then it comes back. The pics you took of the pads looks like they are cooked (got very hot). I'll bet whatever you do the squeek comes back, I've changed everything, pads, rotors, and caliper hardware, squeek came back in 4000 miles. Let me know if you want me to look for the pads. I know I have rotors, but I'm sure they are warped, but still good to be resurfaced, you can have those also if you want, let me know

Question is, do they squeek? A lot of people put up with squeek, including me, although I really never hear brake squeek, to high pitch for me. Teena is another story, the reason I have replaced everything, only to make her happy for a little while

    Tom,

My OEM brake stuff was great until its first roadcourse, then hot spots and squealing began. ahhh well, the price you pay. I sent Bob a PM first to see if he had some. My rotors do feel good though, they got turned with no problems and no brake pulsation felt. I'm wondering if the crack in the pads are a cause or symptom. So this is more of a test than anything else.

    Hey Albert,

Mike said his stock pads stop better than his current ones, amazing how OEM does that well in his case. I may have to try the R1 or similar for the front rotors soon. I've got a set of the red EBC pads but they squealed when you stop, when you drive, when you turn, when you park, when you turn the key and scratch your head. Get my drift?
So those are sitting on the workbench with 25 miles on them. Maybe they also need slotted rotors to perform better.

As for the Wilwoods, that would put me in the poor house at the first payment.
