    Saw it at 1.74 in North Carolina yesterday. We have one of the highest state taxes in the country (.31 cents) .

    Cookeville, TN just filled up with 93 octane at $1.98 a gallon at BP! I think taxes on that is about $.37 a gallon.

    $.54 gas tax. We hit $1.53 a gallon for 87.
