Question Can I sign up with Sirius on the OEM Nav radio unit??

I have the OEM NAV radio unit that did not come with Sirius, therefore no antenna on the roof.

What would I need to sign up with Sirius? And have it work in the car?

I do have an GXM30 Antenna w/extension cable (usb type connectors) and a Garmin Streetpilot 2730 I use on the motorcycle.

Could I use the GXM30 Antenna and plug into the rear of the NAV unit too?

I believe the subscription is tied to the antenna???

Did any of that make sense?

    Thanks

The only way to sirius to work on the REC Nav system is if you have the sat tuner installed in the trunk with the antenna.

Andrew, not sure who I got it from but I do have an extra ,05 Magnum Siruis Antenna (aka: Pimple) if you need it!

But 300MAG is right you'll still need the SAT Tuner!

Well you will need the wiring harness as well from the radio to the tuner.

Here is a kit from a vendor on here:

I think I have my tuner laying around ... If I can find it... it is yours... Merry Xmas!

Thanks Tom, I have to see if my antenna will fit too, I think Sirius subscribes you per the ID # on the antennas.

Actually there is an SID/ESN number not sure what creates this number though, could be the radio, the SAT Tuner, the antenna or any combination of them all, but it is the ESN number that Siruis is looking for.

the SID/ESN is on the brain of the tuner box.... and you can pull it up on your screen very easy, once it is installed.
