    August 2007 Beach Burger

Well it was another awesome MnG with most of the usual suspects and some more new friends and some old friends!

Our hats of to Go Mango and friends for stopping by on their trip down from Canada, I hope everyone gets a chance to meet them they are truely great people.
And an old friend showed from up north a bit, Bruno made a surprise visit and we are all grateful she did.

I believe we feel just short of 50 Cars tonight.

Thanks again everyone for coming out and please check the calander as we continue to grow. Look for us in your part of SoCal Soon!

    On to the pix!

    Tom and friends!

What a great time I had last night with all of you! I was beginning to wonder if I would ever make one of the SoCal events! The M & G at Beach Burger was my first but definitely not my last. It’s kind of fun living in Central Cal, home of the no meet and greets, because I get to partake in both NorCal and SoCal events.

It was so good to see many ‘old friends’ and meet several new forum members for the first time. There was such a variety of LX vehicles, all beautiful in their own right. The food was good but the people attending were the best part of it all. I don’t believe JonW stopped once while updating so many vehicles.

SoCalLX Club has a good thing going with the Beach Burger social. The location is great and you couldn’t ask for better weather. To think that this M & G brought in folks from Canada and San Diego says it all.

I would like to thank TMagnum, fatchance, JonW, Mr.i, Mighty Noid, SMK HEMI, and Dupie24 for making me feel right at home (well, it use to be my home!). And, I would also like to thank Hazman for messing up my vision. I’m still seeing ‘blue’!!

Always good to see faces I don't know, even if I still get em mixed up at the end of the night. Was nice to meet Bruno, the Canadian Folk, and all the others that showed up. Lot of SoCalers and plenty of places to meet! I'll be looking forward to R&R next weekend.

We are finally home. 16 days on the road and only two mishaps, not too bad, pity they both happened to MY car. We all know about the front end damage, but I also had to get a windshield repair done....damn rocks.
    ANYHOO!!!!
Once again thank you SoCal and especially to Tom for his kind comments, Jina and Rick for presenting me with a SoCal LX shirt, that I had ordered and wanted to buy. Then there is Hazman, what can I say......that is one cool (blue) ride and thanks for the dvd, truly amazing work.
Everyone present deserves a big thank you for allowing me to be included in a great M&G..... with great Burgers. The couple that did the route 66 drive with us, and the other surprise guest from the Brampton Assembly Plant, were really in shock over how people love the LX's so much that they customize them to that extent.
