    Anyone have a mig welder?

    I unfortunetly sold mine a couple years back...

    I bought a Blastin Bobs kit and the previous owner said it leaks and needs to be welded instead of clamps... i really dont want to pay a shop $40 to do 5 mins worth of work...

    Anyone have a mig? id rather give someone on here a 12 pack to weld it up for me...

    ill do all the cutting and slip the kit on and hold it in place with clamps... then jsut head over and get it welded...

    a nice 4" wide band clamp would hold them with no leaks.

    I am a welder actually.......I am in ventura I dont have a machine though. Everything I use is on the base.

    yeah i used to have a little Lincoln 120V Mig that was great for little things like this... but when i sold my 66 chevy project i sold the welder too since i didnt foresee any more projects in the near future... now 3 years later im kicking myself...

    Oh well.. the garage is getting wired for 220V... so ill grab one of those in year and then i can weld anything on a car...

    x2 on the wide band clamps, it will cost you more than having it welded by a buddy, but at the same time you'll be able to seperate the parts if needed.
