    2008 Cruisin for a Cure - Thoughts

I just to have say that I know that there are a bunch of LX clubs through out the US and I will put any amount of money that you will not find a better group than we have right here:

I have to thank all the people the wonderful people that made this day a fantastic one!!! If it wasn't for you, the parking and setting up everything that we did wouldn't have went so smoothly!

Plus a huge THANK YOU for the members that came down from CenCalLX and to MAGFX coming from AZ and becoming the newest SoCalLX member...

I hope that the new method we tried this year was good for everyone. It gave people a chance to meet new one's that they haven't before. The line up of cars seemed to look great and everyone that came down either row was like... "DAMN!! Look at this one, no look at this one." It made me proud to be apart of the best looking group at this show!

I know that the voting thing was different and some of us don't know either the forum name member or there real name and if we do that again. There will be some changes in that as well. I hope that the people that were chosen were surprised with there award/gift and will post a picture of it. Since I didn't take a chance to take pictures of the 2nd choice and furthest distance awards.

    1st Choice 300 - SilvaSurfer - Jay
    2nd Choice 300 - SMK Hemi - Steve

    1st Choice Charger - RandsyWay - Randy
    2nd Choice Charger - sdcarguy - John

    1st Choice Magnum - BlsdEsq - Erik
    2nd Choice Magnum - MOL SRT-8 - Ralph

    Furthest Distance CA - 07norcalsrt8 - Mark
Furthest Distance AZ - MAGFX - Jonn

Also a special thank you goes out to the BT for making these for me to hand out to our top choice winners in our own little contest...

This is what was inside the little blue boxes....
Specially made Key chains by Billet Technology from SoCalLX.Com:

This is what I handed out for the 2nd Choice winners:
Scosche Hi-Fi Ear Buds Headphones (IUHP6)

This was for the long distance award:
Scosche TK12 (12 Volt tool kit)

To everyone that chipped in for my GG Bottle... I feel so honored by that. I wanted to cry. It was like another new member coming home... LOL

My last comments are to those that enjoyed my ice chest goodies... I hope that you like'd it because it will be back again!!! Maybe with more of just the GGCB one's

Next year we may have a BIG SURPRISE for everyone and if we can pull it off. I will want to see at least 100 cars there. Not only SoCalLX but CenCalLX and AZLX members.

PS: I may come back in here and edit as well. I may not have gotten all of my special thoughts about this outstanding event out as of yet....

The car count that I got was 54. 50 that signed in with me and the others were the two Challengers, one yellow chopped magnum and one other the one was the 300 (SJSnakeman)

To see the awesome pictures that all the members took... look at this thread and please remember to pass out a few green beans... posting pictures takes some time here... they deserve it.

Special thanks to you, Noid, for all that you did to make this huge, successful event happen for the LXers. What a community we have indeed! I have already pledged to participate next year. Otherwise, you and MONK have permission to &*2/$%!* me. Don't take that the wrong way either or I'll have to get out my twak stick!

Thanks for the kind words people... makes me cry...

I also forgot to thank two other groups...

The LxRxJx's.... thanks for coming out as well....

Also the LXY crew.... thank you for getting the word out and getting more to join us...

Remember... this was not a SoCalLX group thing...

This is a LX thing!!! We are one huge family!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Bruno... I did the edit... plus I will hold you to your promise... I think we are going to have one hell of a surprise next year for the group and we will get more LX's next year.
    Thank you Bigal470

Of that, I have no doubt. Not only was that one fine looking LX group and friendly folks, the other vehicles in the event are some of the best looking I have ever seen.

Noid and the rest of the SoCal crew,

Thanks for making this event so great. Even though it was a really quick trip for me, I had a blast.

One question though. When we pulled in, the sign on our isle said "MAGNUM" and the award Eric won was for "Best Magnum". Does that mean the rest of us never had a chance to win anything?
