Remember that when you change the tune you aren't 'Emissions Ready' until you complete the required drive cycles.
Turn the key to 'on' (not start) and watch the CEL - if it blinks ten times after about 15-20 seconds, you are NOT 'ready'.

I'm in CT and I put my stock tune back in before I went though emissions. Not sure if I needed to do so. For something that will take a few seconds to do, it's piece of mind to ensure you won't get a failed test because of it.
I dunno man. I put my stock tune in right before I went to emissions and failed (not enough cycles or something like that)
My battery died over the winter as well, but it had taken a charge back and I used the car quite a bit before attempting the emissions test.
I would bet money that if I hadn't put the stock tune in I would have passed the first time.

Just leave the tune in.....like Mike said just watch the engine light with the key on.....if it doesn't flash after 15-20 seconds you are good to go.
Yeah, you need to make sure you drive around for a while (like 20 miles) before you are "emissions ready" after you install/uninstall a tune. Made sure my engine light wasn't flashing before I went.
Erik, good info for the next time I have to go through emissions. I'll just leave it in from now on.
In CT you can leave it in.If there are no CELs you are fine.I did it and passed just fine.

Mine passed the tailpipe sniffer test with a superchips tune installed (with the Sidewinder/high flow cats) the first year, and I've left the predator tunes in ever since.
I failed emissions last year as my 'cmr tuner' turned off my rear O2's (with shorties? wtf?) so I went back to a tweaked 'canned' tune and have never looked back. Car runs much better too.

Just had my inspection a few months ago with the tune. No problems.
