    preferred shops

Hi all, been lurking here a while and I was wondering if there are any recommended shops that you guys bring your cars to. I'm taking the plunge and getting headers/catback system for my magnum, and I would really like to be able to go to a reliable and trustworthy shop.

All these mods that you guys are doing...makes my head spin!

Why don't you bring the car up to my mechanic in Stamford CT...he's done a ton of work for lots of members in the NE as well as lots of guys in Long Island...should be a 40-60 minute ride for you depending on where you are in the Island

If Hemi31 was local with a few cam jobs, he might consider the task. Shoot him a PM and see if he has anything lined up in our area.

I live on L.I. and have not found a good MOPAR shop to go to. Check out ralphandjohnsauto.com , located in Brooklyn. They just did my headers and CMR tune and what a great job they did. Ask for Junior. He knows his stuff. Only CMR tuner shop that is close by. Good guys and lots of experience. Enjoy!

Ralph and John know their wrench work very well. It's actually John who is the wrench man and Ralph (junior) is the tuner. Great set of guys and they stand behind their work.

Erik/Hemi31 is scheduled to be on Long Island this weekend, timing is everything.

If you cannot set something up with Erik, I also recommend Tony from Shippan Auto in Stamford, CT. Its an easy drive and he knows our cars inside and out.

I think I will try and tackle the header/catback install myself, with a buddy along to help. This will definitely require much beer.

Expect 6-8 hours for installing the headers. The bolts are a bitch to get at. The exhaust should be a piec of cake.
