    Local Dealerships

So, what are the best and worst for sales and service?

I bought my Daytona at Merrick Dodge, which has apparently since merged with Chrysler/Jeep of Wantagh. So the show room is now in Wantagh, but the service is still in Merrick.

I called up on Friday to make an appointment, my emergency brake handle just came right out in my hand, cable came off somehow. I have not been back to the dealer for anything in a year... and the earliest they said they can bring me in is July 13... basically 2 weeks... and the guy said he was squeezing me in, he really was booked solid until 7/24.

What the hell kind of BS service is this?

Apparently, Westbury is no better, my friend with another Daytona said they told him it would be 3 1/2 weeks before they could take his car in for routine maintenance!!! I have used Westbury for my wifes Jeep Liberty a few times, because the hours are so handy, but I must say, I have been underwhelmed by their service.

If this is the kind of service Dodge/Chrysler is going to offer, how the hell do they expect to attract repeat customers?

    Ridiculous.

How has your experience been around here?

yeah, both are just a little far... Merrick was perfect... I can drop off on my way to work, hop on the LIRR across the street and then come home and pick it up.

They need to get this service thing figured out... it is unacceptable. Chrysler is trying to pass itself off as a near luxury car brand... well near-luxury car brands have MUCH better service than this.

I use Lee Dodge , which is in Commack now. So far they have treated me very well. The new shop has about 12 bays and is very clean.

Try Amityville Dodge, they rock. I bought my Durango and my
2006 Daytona Charger there. Excellent sales and service.

I can second that. They told me my 300C wheels finish isnt under warranty but when I called Chrysler they tell me they are covered under 3/36 to take the car back and have them email pics to them for verification and they will be replaced. also needed to bring in 3 times for a rotate and balence. They didnt do the balence the first time and its still not right. I think I have a bad tire but they didnt say anything.
