This is a fairly new board that seems to have a main purpose of organizing all the gearheads here on the Island to get behind building the motorsports complex out in Riverhead/Calverton.

The plan is not dead yet, and it would be so much better than having to travel through the city to get to a track.

They have a petition we should all sign:

And there was a rally to support the track this past weekend, but I guess we all didn't know about it.

By the way, apparently it wasn't noisy until the Newsday reporter and Channel 12 asked people to start their cars and rev them... I really do hate Newsday, such a rag. You know it hates the idea of a motorsports complex on LI.

This whole thing has smelt like a John Spanos buying the Islanders deal to me from the start. I don.t know why it just has. I totally agree with you on Newsday most opinionated paper I ever read.
