    Who is willing to help?

Although not everything for the Arizona LX Club is as of now set in stone, recent events have created a desperate need for some real help.

It is with great respect for the members that I have accepted the emergency appointment of Chairperson for the committee to benefit the students and teachers victimized by the arson fires at Echo Mountain Primary School.

Our goal will be setting up a benefit car wash to raise money for the teachers and their students.

As you all know these events take lots of planning and time. I am asking my fellow lxer's for a little help putting this awesome event together. Lets make this event more than a car wash, lets make it something that every one will want to be there for.

I will need help in some areas to make this event come together and I am asking for any ideas or people willing to give some time to make this happen. 1sicsrt jumped right on this project and found us a spot and got us an approval with enough room to host the event (thank you josh and circuit city). Now with that being said the date we are looking to have this event will be June,9 which is a Saturday and is over a month away which will give us plenty of time to prepare.

Below are some of the things that I know we will need:
    • We will need shade. For the people working and for bystanders coming to drool at our beautiful cars as we all know June in AZ will be very HOT. So anyone who has easy-ups or canopies will be helpful, 1sicsrt,junior,Fast56k
    • We will need water. For sale as well as for the people working the event. This should be a donation which we may have figured out but any suggestions help!chargershed(once again)
    • Towels, soap, buckets, hoses, etc. Will be needed again maybe a sponsor or company willing to donate.chargershed(moore)
    • We will need a flier put together due to my lack of computer experience help would be great. We will need an electronic version as well as printable to hand out. joeb1
Now I am looking for anyone that is willing to step up and sit on this committee. Please volunteer your time to work with me to get this organized.

I have the date and place, do you have the time?

    June 09, 2007. The event will be on the North West side of town. At the “Happy Valley Town Center” (I-17 and Happy Valley) This location is being supplied by;
“Circuit City”, 2501 W. Happy Valley RD. Phoenix, AZ. 85085.
So west side people I am looking to you to help me show the club what were all about!

As far as people working the event the wonderful teachers and their friends are willing to help us do the work. They look forward to helping their community by working for this cause.

My goal is to have all lxer's come out and enjoy the event and show off their rides and help any way they wish.

I will also be inviting close friends of mine and my family a national car club “Severed Ties” to bring out their rides to show support. I feel with our help and the combined support we can make a change in the long run for the school and teachers. I know we will have a good time doing so.

In return on Sunday June 10th I and both of the teachers’ family's will be hosting a thank you for making this happen BBQ for all of the Arizona LX club members. This will be a great time to get together and celebrate our accomplishment as well as some of our members’ birthdays.

This will also give us the opportunity to meet as a club. The location I have in mind is Cashman Park 22222 N. 44th Street Phoenix, AZ 85050. 44th Street and Pathfinder.

Again thank you all for you support.

The funny thing is that my family always wondered why I always rambled on about a Forum that taught me so much about a car that I'm obsessed with and did so many good things for people with the same passion. For them was not a real place until now!
    Thanks again,
    Ryan

Ryan as you already know I am right there with you and am willing to be on the committee, anything you need I'll do my best to help. I have a 10' x 10' canopy at Circuit City right now and I'll try to get the Verizon store to let me use theirs as well. so maybe 2 10x10s. We can use the stores water, hmmm have to see where it is outside. We have no problem with power, obviously its Circuit City, just run some extention cords. Ryan maybe you can swing by Circuit City and we can get some ideas.

    Great job fellas!

I just bought a 10x10 easy-up canopy today, as it turns out - count on using it.

I'm going to bow out of any active committe role, but count on me being there and helping otherwise...

Don't worry about the car wash supplies; the parts dept. here at Moore is going to donate car wash soap, glass cleaner and some other supplies for the benefit car wash...

Thanks 1sicsrt8 for taking the time to meet and go over the site at circut city. All I have to say is WOW what a place and what a huge parking lot. This event is going to be larger than Ihad expected. Due to 1sicsrt8(Josh) we will be getting the whole shopping center involved. This will be a carwash/car exihbition/vendor site. Basicaly a good time for everyone.

Since Josh (1sicsrt8) is so passionate about helping and an all around great guy i will be appointing him to be co-chairman of this event. Thanks again Josh if your up to it!

I will be updating everyone frequently and please let me know who will be able to be there with thier rides
    Thanks again

Thanks Ryan for the kind words but you are the one that deserves all the credit on this one, nothing more selfless than helping kids. Thanks for the opportunity to help and of course I accept your offer.
