    Ticket Help

Not sure where I should have posted this question but here goes. I recently just visited the Great state of California. While leaving there on Monday I have a lovely run in with a CHP officer. I was travelling a little fast for his liking. Okay I was doing 96 in a 70. Being that I am an Arizona resident, if I pay the fine for the ticket and not go to traffic school, will points accumulate on my license, therefore making my insurance go through the roof? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

not sure about that direction, but when the AZ patrol clocked me for going fast in AZ, I did get points on my CA license. Though the insurance hit wasn't too bad.

Pretty sure CA and AZ have one of those "information sharing" arrangements. Traffic school is the way to go if you're eligible...

As long as you don't get 12 or more in a 3 year period, I wouldn't worry about it.

This was many years ago, but we were going through CA and got pulled over...got a ticket....I think if we wanted to go to school we had go back there which was not feasible so we paid it..I don't recall any points..but then again that was many moons ago that happened.....

    Go to: http://www.ticketassassin.com/
I did everything through the mail.
I had a speeding ticket and got off.
Also had a no right turn ticket and got off.
I got both tickets within the two weeks of each other.

Yeah you'll get points but I belive since you are out of state you can take traffic school online. Go to the web sites of the traffic schools on the ticket and it will tell you.

^^^ Yeah, I did that. It sucked bad, but better than driving back there to attend a day in person...

Hey Mike I heard it was like 4 hours and then you have to play some weird game called Petanque to pass the class.

I wish there was Petanque involved... it was about five mind-numbing and absolutely frustrating hours of reading the statutes, with corny stories thrown in, and then ridiculous quizzes about both the statutes and the corny stories... terrible.
