    Speed trap photo radar van!

    Did you get flashed?
Were you lucky and saw it in time?
help the rest of us out by posting locations that are under "special enforcement" (aka bonus cash flow) in any of the local streets or highways here in our home state!

Lets work as one to keep our insurance rates on the low end of the scale.

    all the best,

On Ellsworth Rd. almost daily both north and south direction near the GM Proving Grounds (13303 S. Ellsworth Rd.) There is no place for them to hide so they are in plain view........Either direction....

There seems to be one just west of the 101 on Thomas. Sometimes there's one west of the 101 on Indian School.

This may be a more effective place to go, given the varied locations of lxforums members.

There is one in Scottsdale on Indian Bend, just east of Scottsdale Road. I see it every Sunday morning on my way to the McCormick Ranch train park. This one is especially relevant to those of you who go to the pavillions on Saturday, and exit by going west on Indian Bend.

    Current Rides:
    2008 SRT-4 Caliber - Black
2008 5.7L Hemi Jeep GC Ltd - Blue
    1971 Cuda 340 - Hemi Orange

    Former Rides:
    2007 Super Bee #0073/1000 - Yellow
    2005 SRT-4 Neon - Orange
    2003 Stratus R/T - White
    1997 Dakota Sport - Red
    1995 Stealth R/T - Red
    1988 Shelby Z Daytona - Blue
    1986 GLHS #326/500 - Black
    1971 Cuda 440 - Yellow
1970 AAR Cuda - Red, Blue
1970 Barracuda Gran Coupe Convertible - Red

Just a bump for this old thread. I don't know how frequently the both of these are in place but at least they give you some notice with the movable 'photo enforcement zone' signs

SB on the west side of loop 101- on the Bethany Home overpass.

NB on the 51 right before the 101 interchange- the guy sits under the underpass and it's a 45mph construction zone. I saw a guy disregard the sign and fly by the SUV at about 70mph (OUCH.)

We have one of these vans in Tucson now too. No warning signs though.

From what I understand 0-5 over you get nothing, 6-10 over you get a warning in the mail, 11 on up you get a ticket in the mail.

Hrmph. Long gone are the good ol' days where people pulled other people over.
No fines for bumping my car into second and giving them the post van flyby though.

I actually saw real live police this morning with a radar gun in a patrol car (not a motorcycle) zapping passing traffic. It was a 35 mph zone and I was going about 35-37. They didn't even give me a second look.
