I've read over the SWCC Constitution and think it will work. If any changes are required/requested I am sure that it can be worked out.
this pretty much sums it up for me:
Also know that if all you wish to do is attend the events, I feel that that is acceptable. I do not think there should ever be time when this club draws a line that sticks. I hope we will always be the "Over the line crew" I met on my first meet and greet outing. If that is the capacity you wish to participate at then you will fit right in here. I never want to be a part of any organization that excludes anyone that only has a limited amount of time, money or ability to participate.
very well put Joe, and I would be honored to be a part of a club that has this mindset... anyone and everyone is welcome here... weather you want to be a part of the beuracrats or just want to be there when the fun happens...as long as I'm a part of this club, that's the way it will be and I will do everything in my power to insure that...
Currently: "Vanessa" 2006 Charger R/T with all kinds of little details and a unique red bee stripe... just passed 100k milestone!!!
Sounds great and i am honored to be asked to do this however my expierence and knowledge is in a financial sense not so much with corperate paper work but i will do my best to acomplish whatever the task may be

How many potential members do we have. How many votes will be considered a simple majority?

Thanks. Look great.
I expect 11 votes for the interim board, with or without the present constitution, represents a simple majority. Is it fair to say we have an interim board with the question of the constitution still to be decided.
Joe, I'm sure your number of 50 potential members is meaningful, but only 30 individuals met the "Roll Call" thread. I did a rough count and came up with the following:
Phantzm - Gary
HalV48 - Hal
Maxwell Overdrive - Markus
FactoryD - Chris
AZRC -Craig
Ritschy - Brian
6Point1 - Bob
Junior - Mike
XLABOY - Larry
Thunderzhemi - Jon
Fullofit - Joe
Dabigdogg - James
Maxfx - Jonn
Zmagnum - Mark
Chargerchick - Chris
Yellowhemi - Phill
Joeb1 - Joe
UME108 - Jeff
Yellasldrboy 04 - Chuck
Red666 - Bill
Brilliant R/T - Joel
Chemigo - Brian
Fricker - Kevin
1sicrst - Josh
xxblkhemichargerxx - Dan
Falcon9901 - Jon
Iclosem - Ryan
AZ SRT8 - Will
Jack Evers - Jack
Bradon - Brandon
Some of these screen names represent husband and wife members but the forum polling device only allows one vote per screen name.
Sorry, Joe, I missed your list and simply counted the names in the "roll call" thread.
This club will not be, unless we can put an interim board in place and do it soon. If you show 51 potential members, so be it. If you feel that it's necessary, we then need 26 or 27 yea votes to put this interim board in place. Until then, we don't have a club, just a fine group of individuals with a common interest in LX cars.
Could be that we don't even need a majority vote of prospective members to set this club up. I don't see anyone else throwing their hat in the ring, or any glaring opposition to what you have in mind. Just install the interim board that you described and let's go with it.
As I said before. I would be honored to be the club's treasurer. I think this club has a lot of potential in being one of the best LX clubs around. Especially because of the great people that are part of right now. Thank you full for nominating me.

Damn, still have alot to vote. I check this everyday. Who has a life, I didn't think so!
Looks great. Got my 'I Voted' sticker now.
Quoting CHARGERSHED "very well put Joe, and I would be honored to be a part of a club that has this mindset... " in reponse to fullofit's portion of the original well done writeup "Also know that if all you wish to do is attend the events, I feel that that is acceptable."
DITTO!
I would love to be more active, but travelling for work all week and then family/chores tend to keep the car (cover your eyes Mark) an infrequent third priority. It's awesome to know this group will be equally excepting of all levels of enthusiasts when I do make the events!
EDIT: I just read through the other posts to catch up. I was playing around above, but I wanted to add that I greatly appreciate all the hard work on this club that EVERYONE is doing in front of, next to, instead of, etc, their busy jobs and families!! Keep it up, let us know what we can do to help. As said before (but cowboy'ed up a bit); "if it ain't fer fun it ain't fer doing!"
