The west side get-together is on 83 Ave. about 1/2 mile north of Beardsley.

Safeway shopping center @ 83 Ave & Lake Pleasant Pkwy.

Actually looks like I had it wrong. The info at Cruisin arizona says 2nd friday and 4th saturday but I swear it was the 2nd saturday of last month cuz I was coming back from the pavillions when I hit it on accident. I'm gonna swing thru just to check it out. Might hit 83rd if the showing will be strong.

OK... so I never made it to Mesa on Saturday night. We decided to head out to 83rd to check out the show... Damn that's a LONG haul. We took off from my place (Elliot and Meridian) around 4:30. Stopped by my sister's house at 7th and Grovers so that she could follow us out to the show.

We've been chasing car shows for about 3 weeks now. Every "show" or "cruise" that I've tried to go to since we bought the Maggie has either been defunct or VERY small, so Melissa was a little apprehensive about driving so far to a show we've never been to. Needless to say, we were very happy with the turnout and the entire show in general. It was cool to meet some of the LXers and scope out some other "MMM" rides. She's sold on the HALOs (way cool) and spent a good portion of yesterday surfing the net looking for wheels. While she may not let me build her ride like "I" want to, she's deffinately responsive to mods. After a "quick" jaunt down 83rd chasing Scotty, Melissa asked if a CAI adds any HP... Thank you Scotty! I'll be looking for a Diablo or tuner of some sorts soon!

Just wanted to say thanks to the AZLXers for being hospitable and all around good folks. We had a great time and we're looking forward to more LX gtgs.

I am fairly sure the downtown Mesa Cruise night is the 4th Saturday of each month. I have been out for one of them this year and there was a good turn out. Some cars cruise and some park; I noticed a good place to stop and show your vehicle - about halfway between Country Club and Mesa Drive on Main Street on the North side. It is a parking lot that looks onto Main Street but you have to access it from the back. I will try to be out there in my 1980 Ramcharger (yellow convertible).
