    Club Elections

Most clubs have elections for various positions

Is this being planned in the near future?

I have to vote NO. Let's please please keep this as informal as we can, while still having some guiding voices.

Tell me why I'm wrong, and I'll listen, but that's my strong feeling as it stands.

I elect Hal to organize all elections.

Other than that, I'd have to agree with Junior.

Should we have elections? Junior votes no. But how can we vote on elections if we all agree not to vote in elections?

Absolutely right, but it seems to me that we've had people step up to fill whatever gaps there were, when the need has been there. If more help is needed at whatever point, I think we have the folks who will be eager to provide it.

LOL - I just caught the same thing as I was reading it again... (smartass...)

Can I rescind or amend my vote not to vote? Can the club parlimentarian tell me if the Charter allows for such?

    I'd rather

Most clubs have elected postions. If you have a charter, it ususally includes elections. if not, it's not a club.
I wouldn't run for anything anyway, due to my work schedule, and being I'm out of town more than home. I'm in Sacramento now and won't be home until May 9th.

You need a President, Secretary/Treasurer, Event Co-Ordinator, Spronsor Relations. And things need to be voted on, not dictated.

I'm not saying this is happening, but I know how these things work.

    I like it simple also.

I want this to be as simple as possible without being a joke. But, I think that we definitely need certain people to be in charge of certain aspects of the club's operation.

The club is supposed to be about fun with our cars and friendship. What we don't need is to make this a popularity contest or a status game.

Might I suggest you run these thoughts by Dave (MagnumClub). There may be some liability involved.
