I stopped by tonight and talked to some folks who said its starting to pick up. This was week #3. They had a cool bounce house for the kids and free snow cones. I was in my Denali with the family so I did not have my 300C SRT8.

We need to get some Arizona LX members to meet up.

Friday nights at Arizona Ave and Ocotillo behind Old Chicago's. With the new 202 its easy to get down there.

I plan on going next Friday with my car. Anyone in?

I stopped by this location @ around 6:00pm. At that time there was just a few cars. Around 6:45 MAGFX showed up, and around 8:00 AZSRT8 drove in. There was about 30 to 40 cars all together.
I spoke to Chris Ruh who was providing the D.J music. He said this whole thing is being sponsered by the developer who is building in the area. They are currently doing this on Friday's only from 7:00 to 9:00pm, but said they could be flexible on the hours if needed. This has the potential to take off like wildfire with some support from all the local "Gearheads" no matter what you drive. It would be an excellent site for the AZLX folks to meet who live in the southeast valley.
There are pleanty of food establishments to be had...OLD CHICAGO, GARCIAS, CHEESE BURGER CHEESE BURGER, CUP Z and some others that I probably missed. All the folks we talked to there were a good bunch of people. Street Rods, Customs, Rat Rods..a little of everything. Just another option for those of us who want another excuse to go "Hang Out" with our "Car Homies"....

AZ SRT8 and others mentioned that last week there were a whole lot more cars. Even a blowup bouncy thing for the kids. Chris Ruh (mentioned above) said that they may incorporate some contests and is looking for whatever it takes to make this a go. I think the windy conditions kept a lot of folks away last night, but it definitely looks like it could be pretty good in the future.

I drove thru about 7:30PM. Wasn't much there. Was a white magnum only, no one by the car. A Black MSRT8 pulled in but did not park in the venue. I went to Staples and got some copies, made another pass, the white magnum was gone.

I was driving my Silver 07 Tundra 5.7 DoubleCab as Cindy and I where coming back from Lund Cadillac and Papadeaux's.

I only live 5 minutes from there, but we where tired and the SRT8 is dusty from sitting alone at home in the garage for 2 weeks.

I try again next week, with the SRT8.

Yeah, I did not make it until about 8:20 and everyone pretty much left by 8:45. I will try again next week but this time I will get in at 7:30 pm. I did meet some nice folks with some older cars. By the time I pulled in they only had a small group left.
