Any Chrysler Techs here ?

Hi Eveyone,

So I've got a 2004 5.7 Hemi & trans with the factory computer in this '70 RoadRunner. The car's not streetable yet and I've been having intermittant throttle problems. The wiring harness manufacturer says to get a chrysler tool called a DRB III to do an ETC Relearn. He says the starscan tool won't do it.

Can anyone here run this test / relearn for me?

Ummm NAG1? if that's the trans from the car no, I think it's called a 545RE or something. It's a setup from an '04 Ram pickup the trans is the 5 speed auto.

did the truck have SKIM (sentry key)? if it did, you'll have issues since it wont see the skim module giving the pcm the ok to start. in other words, it'll go into lockdown. if it doesnt have it, then that isnt your issue, and ignore me and move on.

No sentry key issue. Car starts and runs but sometimes you step on the gas and it's like the cable isnt connected to the remote "bellcrank" module.. stomp on the gas and the car just idles. Shut it off and restart and everythings fine. It's hit or miss. The only codes coming up are for some O2 sensors and a body computer not hooked up. The guys at Hotwire say thats normal since we dont use all the O2 sensors and there's no body modules. They say you don't always get codes for a throttle body problem and that there's some "range" and this might be a little off which is why they recommend a ETC relearn proceedure. All this electronic stuff is new to me... if I had the 3 two barrels on the car on a 440 it would be no problem LOL. Now I'm a New Hemi newbie and pretty much screwed

There is a throttle relearn proceedure here inour knowledge base forum.

You might try that.

yeah, an ETC relearn might help it. since it's never been connected to the bellcrank module before, it may have slightly different parameters than it's previous APPS/gas pedal.
