Arrow Vanishing Point (Challenger) is it back on the horizon?

Over the past weekend I was at my local block buster, I found a copy of Vanishing Point (1971 version). With the coming of the new Challenger it brought back memories of yesteryear. So if your into cult movies, check out your local block buster, rent it and sit back and reminisce the good ole' days. So in the words of the blue meanies "the car is believed to be super-charged" long live the Challenger...chuckle

Question, does anybody remember what kind of car they used at the end, for the bulldozer scene?

So lets get out there and put down some rubber...

My hubby got me an import copy that included some deleted scenes. One of my favorite car movies, cause it basically showcases the car for the entire film.

It was a white 67 Camaro. If you pay close attention to the destroyed car, it is pretty obvious.

The cheesy music in the first chase scenes is a little off-putting, but yeah it's up there, through sheer quantity of chase scenery if nothing else...

I loved that movie!! Hey, a White only 2009 Vanishing Point special edition would be an awesome limited production version for the Challenger R/T. Chrysler, are you listening??

Vanishing point is an awesome movie!!!! Had a copy in my DVD collection about 4 years, had the VHS before it. Got to love it!

Another good one is "the Hollywood Knights".

I can see it now - dealers everywhere taking the car down a gravel road and getting the dust on the rockers for that "theme" look of the original VP car. And charging a boat load of extra $$$ for it to boot.

Also, another good olm Mopar flick is "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry" I forget what tehy drive, but I want to say its a Charger (yellow in color) and it gets squashed by a train at the end.

I cringe when I see that Challenger racing off-road across the desert for miles on end.

It was a 1969 Charge, I think your right on the color (yellow). You know I forgot all about that movie.

Don't forget about Bullit, not the stang, but the black Charger chasing it down...
