    Tampa Traffic

Hello my Friend's to the south, quick/dumb question for ya. What's traffic like on the I75/275 on a friday during afternoon rush? I'm planing a trip to Treasure Island in Oct (3-17) and if my math is right we'll be rolling thru around 5 or 6pm (as long as we don't get stuck in any accidents this time)

For those that live in the St Pete's area, is the John's Pass bridge done yet? How bad has it hurt business in the area?

Once it gets closer I'll have to keep on eye on your section for any M & Gs, sounds like the trip is going to be real laid back (Missus and her folks), plans so far are to hit the Wagon Wheel (cheesy I know), Ellenton, and possibly Busch Gardens. Aside from that I look forward to drinking girlie drinks on the beach , mowing back Enteman's Devil food donuts, and getting extra crispy

The Wagon Wheel is close to Quaker Steak & Lube where there are M&Gs occasionally...maybe you could start a thread for feelers about that.
    Don CeSar for dinner...
Ft. De Soto is a nice visit, too.
Bucs and Lightning in October!! Devil Rays??
Busch Gardens is GREAT!! There is a LOT to see and do, BUT... Tampa traffic during a Friday rush hour, really, really sucks and if you're not familiar with the area and are in the wrong lane for an exit...

Except for the traffic, you'll have a good time I'm sure!

Can't be any worse than driving thru Atlanta, we are coming straight down I75S to Treasure Island (Staying at The Sands). Lets hope my math is a bit off and I can beat or miss the rush. We are leaving here on Thursday around 6pm, crossing thru Detroit (don't want to have to deal w/ the mountains) driving thru the night, and should be getting there around 4 or 5pm Friday.

Last time we were down we thought about catching a game, decided on Disney instead ('It's a small world....')

The Don is fairly high end dining right?

We are starting to really look forward to the trip.

You're almost right about it not being worse then Atlanta's rush hour. Its just as bad, but there is less lanes then Atlanta, and more idiots that don't know how to drive than in Atlanta. I grew up in Atlanta and have lived in Tampa for about 8 years, I miss Atlanta atleast they know where their gas pedal is!
