Unhappy A sad day for the FLXC

People do you really want to watch the club fall apart. Your dues are needed to keep the club up and running. You ask what are you getting for your money? This is how the club can sponsor future shows and club outings. We all benefit from the dues, not just one person. Other states model themselves after us. How is it going to look if we can't keep our own members. Come on people we spend thousands of dollars on mods for our cars, and can't come up with a few dollars to keep the club running. This is something we all need to think about. I hope people we do the right thing, and keep this great club up and running.

    I haven't renewed yet.

I want to support the cause (I'm pretty broke too but the $15 isn't a deal killer) but on one hand we already have this forum (which is not supported by our dues correct?) and 95% of everything we do generates through here so as usual I can't help but wonder what we need dues & officers for? Please, I'm not dissing anyones efforts here but since you asked........... Other than hanging out on the forums, a trip to the Tower shops once in a while and the monthly pilgrimage to thrash the car at Moroso I'm not much of a car club guy anymore. No time, no money and FLXC like everything else in our lives has to compete for our limited mad money (which seems to be less & less every day).

That's why I suggested offering a nice version of our shindig shirts to members that join or re-up this year. That not only puts something directly in the members hands for their $$$, quality matching clothing adds to the sense of community and provides a nice marketing tool for the club as our members attend events throughout the state (with the coolest club shirts going). Obviously $15.00 may not cover a shirt that nice (we paid what, $30.00 for them??) but I'd rather pay $30.00 dues and get a cool shirt than $15.00 to sponsor things I'll probably not be able to attend anyhow.

There's my 2 cents. I do appreciate everyones efforts but really have shied away from anything with officers since I got out of the Army LOL. Mike / Monty has definately been a catalyst down here getting things together for us but looking at this big state-wide deal staffed by folks I've either briefly or never met well.........you asked.

I agree and was discussing this privately with Mike but once I saw this thread combined with the possibility of publicly posting a list of who paid and who didn't moved the discussion into a public arena.
