About LinkBacksWho locally in south Florida, besides the dealer, can do diagonstic work on a 05' Magnum? My brother's mag is out of warranty and he doesn't want to pay the higher dealership costs.
He's having a starting issue...
Can anyone point us in the right direction?

DO you/he have the Predator? You can use that to do SOME diagnostic efforts....

I have a friend who owns a shop right off of Ives Dairy and 95... it's called Ives Auto Repair but I can't find address online. I can give you directions if you want, he's the ONLY honest mechanic I've found locally, and he's a friend of the family.

Ask for Costa. They do all the stuff on our cars out of warrenty, I've known them for years and just a month or 2 ago he was showing me the big $$$ diagnostic system he has. He has the chip for '05 Magnums too.

For the diagnostic tool. The thing's like 10 grand from SnapOn and it has chips so it can work with different makes & models of cars & trucks. He was telling me the seperate chips are big $$ too so he only gets ones for cars that may be coming out of warrenty (like the 05 Mag).
Nothing to do with performance, it's like a super Starscan and whatever GM, Ford, Toyota etc. etc. call thiers.Former 2005 Magnum R/T Owner.

I use Francis Auto 12415 NE 13 Av in North Miami for all of my cars. He is a master tech and owns his own shop and has all of the diagnostic software and hardware.

So what's up with the ol' Chevy? You get it painted yet?
To Do --> Low profile mirrors, 2 door conversion, shaved tail lights and then flush mounting them to the lift gate, custom paint.

We bought Magnums at the same time 3 years ago...but with the shop we needed a truck to hauler the trailer around so his wife drives it...
Nope...the 55' is sitting up on a dolly right now.
