I got this ticket...

I got a ticket for doing 76 in a 55

, in a road work zone(fines are doubled)

, in Kentucky

, about a month ago(cop was really cool, and loved the car), and called today for an extension. It was the last day to do it, so I thought they were going to give me a hard time and suspend my license.

But to my surprise they were totally cool! I told them my situation, why I was in a hurry, I'm sorry, blah blah blah. The lady looked me up in the computer and said "don't worry, just write the Judge a letter of apology and it will be taken care of". WHAT? THAT'S IT? A $173 ticket paid for with a letter of apology? That means mod $$$, and no traffic school! I guess sometimes it pays to be nice.

Yeah, I would wait till it's finalized....
But best of luck! Some judges can be nice normal folks.

yeah I'm waiting until I hear back from them, but that was better news than what I thought they were going to give me. That is my first ticket in 20 years so maybe they will take it easy on me.

what how is that possible? i went today in lee coutny for a speeding ticket which is $269. BTW and i elected to go to court no contest but i still had to pay the fees... well i did a payment plan.... ughhh i was nicer than nice...SMH

this was in Lyon County, Eddyville Kentucky. It was a State Police officer... not sure if there's a difference. The ticket is for 15 over the limit(he was nice) $30 ticket & $143 in court costs.

I got a ticket for speeding about 19 yrs ago in S. Carolina by a state trooper on I 95. Wanted to be paid on the spot. Told him I didn't have the $75.00, he told me then I could mail it in. Now catch this sh#t I had to make the check out to him personally. Got home and called up and that is how it was done there, no joke...
