It seems as if there is less activity of our group.
Anyone else "feel" this?
Are we losing interest in talking about our cars?

I know what your saying we had been thinking the same thing, I don't really think it is less interest, but overall show attendance has been down over the last few months and overall group activity.
I think everyone across the board is feeling the hit of the economy and the realistic concerns facing us as a nation in these very uncertain economic times right now. I am hoping after the elections in November some consumer confidence is regained.
Every company I know of right now is cutting back, my industry is seeing some of the largest mortgage defaults ever, along with the home mortgage defaults, and just yesterday I was reading a report on the auto industry and the double digit increase in auto loan defaults that are occurring.
Alot of families are choosing to become a cash based family instead of credit based, so everyone is stashing cash under the matresses, and burying it in the back yard.

I would like to see more "fun" events, like a meeting at a park and some BBQ.
Car shows are okay, but they can be expensive to attend - with the entry fees.
My car is a daily driver and not a show car and it will never be one.
Just my thoughts, and do the events when it is COOLER outside.

Summer and standing around in a parling lot don't mix well for me and when combined with the economy it's tough.
I do agree car shows are a major bore unless you've dumped a small fortune into your car, don't drive it daily and actually have a shot at a dust collector.

The cooler weather is coming soon, I know most of us in the south are not into car shows much. We are more into the people that come along with the show, but the heat, by gosh the heat!!I know once Moroso reopens there will be some activity from some of us speed demons from the south.
Oh and the price of gas doesn't help.
It's not just the "gatherings", the posting activity seems much less.
Here in the North, we are more active now than ever before. Raymond, Don, Austin, and myself meet with a number of ChargerZ at the weekly cruise-ins nearly every Saturday.

I do not think the interest is waning!!
But I do agree it has alot to do with our everday lives and in what direction we are all going and what are we facingin the months ahead.
I myself am going thru a tough time and my husbands job will be laying off anyday as business is slowing. I am trying to get thru each day and I keep telling myself it will be better tomorrow.
I also have to agree for us in the South the weather has been so hot that you do not want to hang out. We all do stay in touch with each other and still have a great family group!!![]()

It seems like every ones new toys are wearing off, like they say the difference between man and boys is the price of there toys...lol Or a marriage getting on in years, it needs to be rekindled. We need to find a way to revitalize our interest in our club and the cars we own...![]()

It's not that we don't have interest in our cars. I talk to alot of local people and they are all planing things for thier cars. For some of us it is just taking longer to save now for the goodies we want. Just because we are not posting about it or going to shows, doesn't mean we are not still loving our cars.
I tried to get more local interest in the FREE meet & greets but only a few had interest....
