    ABS... esp/bas , no code

    The ABS ..and the esp/bas light came on Sunday morning. After about 2-3 minutes they went off.... Then leaving Blondie's party, they came back on again....yep..still on today.

    wuzzup?? Any ideas?

    Oh yeah...I checked for a code via the Predator, and there is no code found.

    I had this happen a few days in a row upon initial start up.. I disco'd the battery and it never came back.

    It happen to me to, stopped at a light when it came on. When I shut the car down, and re-started it, no more light. This only happen once to me. Now I have 25,000 miles on the car. Do you have the mod no esp in your car? I do, now I wonder if that has something to do with it? lol

    Don't know on the LX's, but I had similar lights come on my 01 Z06 due to a faulty wheel sensor.

    40,000 miles on mine. its happened 7 or 8 times, always car is sitting still with foot on brake and in drive. no codes.

    If you hold your foot on the brake too long it will trigger the ESP/BAS light. You have to shut down to reset. It will come on after about 3 to 4 minutes. The system thinks your are riding the brakes, although it should know you are stopped. I believe this is in the manual. You may have a faulty wheel sensor, you will need a Star Mobile to find out. If you were closer I would hook you up!

    Mike I dont know about the Magnums but the Daytona's have a ESP/BAS sensor connector in the wheel well.. Might want to make sure it is seated properly, worth a shot.

    My car has ben plagued by this problem for a while now.

    They are replacing my ABS Module and tell me my wheel bearing are worn out in the rear..which is funny since the axles are only 6 months old from GSM.

    Red- I've read your posts/thread too... I was hoping you found a simple cure - like a wire/sensor disconnected or replacement. Wheel bearings huh? Well, at 27,000 miles, they better not be telling me that! If so, warranty???

    Okay...so with NO Starcan available.. I checked the connections mentioned above. All seemed fine... SO, I pulled fuse 11 - reset computer...no help.

    Plugged in the Predator and "reset all quick adjusts"....no help.

    hhhmmm....

    looked to see if there was a code...nope.

    Said, aw what the heck.... flashed the same "93 CAI" canned tune.... TADA!!!! no lights on the dash any more!!!! Drive around a bit.....nothing....no lights!!

    Dont know what it is....or was....buuuuut..... Maybe Diablo has a clue??

    Does the predator give all CAN bus codes? B=body codes , U= can network comuniction fault codes, C=chassis codes,or does it give just the P =powertrain generic codes. Cycle the key and check the odometer for additioal codes mentioned above but they might be already gone sinced you pulled fuse 11
