9/11 tribute, sept 12th @ PBIR

5 years ago The local mustang community started doing tribute criuses to the keys and other areas. it was alot of fun back then but i stopped attending when i sold my mustang.

Well my brother just informed me, since he is now part of the same group of mustangs, that this year they are hosting a tribute car show at Palm Beach International Raceway and it is open to ALL DOMESTIC VEHICLES. so i'll probably be attending. Car show wiht real judges, cruises, vendor midway, burnout contest. shoudl be fun.

Once again it's time to put on your helmets and race your buddies!
Our regular Challenge Series Open to Corvettes, Mustangs, Mopars and Trucks will run, schedule as follows (all vehicles welcome for Test and Tune):
Challenge qualifying runs 4 pm
Eliminations 7pm (approx)
Test and tune between rounds all night long (if you are eliminated from competition)
Race Ticket: $35.00

In addition, there is a special 9-11 Tribute Event being put on by our old friends at southfloridastangs.net!
Gates open at 8 am
Open test & tune 10am-4 pm
Car Show, Dyno Shootout, Burnout Contest, etc.
Race Ticket all day $40....

So...direct from Mike Clark...you can come at 8 AM...pay $40, race ALL DAY AND ENTER THE CHALLENGE SERIES, FOR FREE! That's 12 hours of racing for $40...can't beat that.

And...it's been a while since we Mopar guys have had the chance to beat up on our Mustang buddies...so let's get out there and show them what our taillights look like!

From what I heard on the MAIN forum, tix from our last Challenge that was rained out, will be good. Not sure if we have to pay the difference.

FYI if anyone is going to this event read below.

This monthly event we are going to do something a bit different. There is a car show and drag racing event at the local track (PBIR) and we're going to cruise over to be in the show and enjoy some racing. If you want to race in the Mopar Challenge bracket racing series, that will be going on as well. The car show is $25 and spectator entry is $15 (children 12 and under are free).

The show is a charity event in honor of 9/11 and benefiting the 9/11 Charity's

We will be here at the shop by 10:00a and plan to leave by 11:00a to head over to PBIR. If you would like to meet here and cruise over together, we welcome you!

Here is the car show event schedule ...

Gates Open - 8:00a
Car Show Registration - 10:00a-2:00p
Judging - 2:00p
Awards - 4:00p

Please post if you are going to meet at the shop and head to the car show, just so we can get an idea of head count.
