Vehicle is still for sale! Nothing has changed from previous listing although the tires do need replacing soon. The car now has 50,500 miles on it as I've been commuting quite a bit. The car has given me not ONE bit of trouble in the 15,000 miles and year of ownership. It's a perfect SRT8 for someone to pick up for a great price. I will be interested in trades as well... Anything close to value or vehicle + cash may be an option. I don't currently want to put any additional cash into a vehicle as I've got $16,500 straight cash into this. With that said, I don't want to lose too much on a sale but I am fully aware of the market. **Carfax report available. PM your e-mail address and I will send you the PDF**
$15,999 or best offer!
I purchased this car salvaged with door/fender damage and had it repaired. The vehicle now has a prior salvage (rebuilt) Iowa title and runs/looks beautiful. I have the Carfax for the vehicle that I printed when I bought it as well as all paperwork/receipts showing what repairs were done and when. I had the door, fender, motor mount, wheel, and control arm replaced at Shaffer's Auto Body (Ames, Iowa). The previous wheel had the lip bent a bit and I didn't want to chance it so I found a used one and replaced it. I purchased the vehicle in July and had it repaired when I returned from Iraq in September. The car had roughly 35,000 miles on it when I bought it and the 15,000 I've put on it have been flawless. I replaced the stock air filter with a K&N drop-in and replaced the hood struts that were worn out. The two previous owners were in California and the car hasn't seen much snow. I have the title in hand as no lien is on the vehicle. I do not want to sell the vehicle but my weekly commuting schedule has been lengthened drastically. I do not want to continue putting 350+ miles on this car a week. I have averaged ~19 MPG on every tank since taking ownership of the vehicle. I have thoroughly enjoyed every mile I have put on this SRT8. You sure are spoiled having this much power in a vehicle. Although I am trading for more of a commuter vehicle, it will be HARD for me to adjust. I drove a V6 Avenger the other day and couldn't stand the lack of torque. Oh well, times call for change and I may get back into an SRT8 one day. The vehicle doesn't have the options groups' but does have the upgraded Kicker system w/sub and SRT-8 pedals/grill insert.
The vehicle needs:
- Some paint touch ups (normal wear for 5 year old vehicle. I touched up the front bumper but some other small areas could use some touching up. Nothing too major).
- The rocker panel on the right front door has scuffed up quite a bit. You cannot see the area until you open the door. The shop wanted $1,000 to full fix the area and I passed as it's not visible and passengers never notice... If you choose to fix that area then the vehicle would be 100% fixed.
- Some of the wheels have some curb rash. The previous owners must have had a hard time parking in CA. It doesn't bother me but can be refinished if you desire.
- Tires. The F1 Supercar tires on it are quite low and need replacing soon. I am debating installing some DWS tires and will do this if it doesn't sell soon.
This is what the vehicle looked like when purchased:
This is after I had a door installed and was waiting on paint and a fender replacement:
These are pictures I took of the vehicle last week after a wash (camera phone):
Removed the Dodge and Magnum emblems but still have them and will go with the vehicle.
I kept the vehicle in a friends garage for a lot of the winter. However, this was the coldest day I think this SRT-8 has seen.
Any other picture requests please ask. This is a great chance for me to pass on a deal for this great looking Magnum. Vehicle is located in central Iowa.
Thanks for looking,
Austin Bell

nice ride!
good luck with the sale!
Here are some pictures I took today with my phone. I apologize for the quality but it's the best I can do right now. I haven't vacuumed the vehicle for a few weeks so it will be much cleaner.
There is nothing wrong with the EVIC display, this is just sun reflections. Anyway, you can see the current mileage.
Always enjoy seeing this when the beast is fired up...
The steering wheel cover can be removed if you prefer. I actually found it at a Wal-Mart the other day when buying an air freshener and I thought it matched perfectly... Plus I enjoy having a thicker steering wheel.
You can see the ISCH73 that I've installed and will leave in the vehicle. You can hook your I-pod up to it and it will charge and can be controlled through steering wheel/radio controls. You are still able to use the I-pod to scroll as well. A standard AUX cable has been ran up through the slot below the radio. I tuck it in the slot when not in use but you could install a flush mount AUX-in adapter if you prefer.
SRT-8 power adjustable pedals.
Factory 7 speaker kicker system w/sub. This 10" sub is shallow and can be detached in 60 seconds. The amplifier is built into the enclosure for the sub and the speaker amplifier is under the driver seat.
You can see some road rash on the wheels. Damn Californians
Sitting in the driveway waiting for a new home...
The interior is near flawless as you can see. Although, the first owner must have had a greasy head because the SRT-8 stitching on the driver's seat is dirty. I never got around to clean it up but I bet you can make it look better.
You can see the rocker panel damage that hasn't been repaired. It's mostly cosmetic although you can see I put some weather stripping on it after I realized it wasn't sealing on the door fully. It is indented about 1/4" (at most) and as we all know, it doesn't take much for weather stripping to not seal. As I said initially, a few reputable shops locally wanted about $1,000 to fully fix the area but I just haven't felt the need to put more money into it. I was about to put this weather stripping on the door itself so it seals when it closes and doesn't look so terrible. However, whatever you choose to do keep in mind it does NOT affect vehicle's performance whatsoever. Carfax does NOT report any frame damage and as you can see from the pictures I've posted, the total damage was not too severe.
I have all documentation for the vehicle...pictures/receipts of repairs, Carfax that was printed when I bought the car, two sets of keys, and Manual in the glove box.
Any other picture requests please ask. I've got another vehicle lined up to purchase so first person with cash takes it.
Thanks,
Austin Bell
