    Catch can hoses leaking?

    Hey guys,

Went out to the garage to look at my baby again (parked, so I gotta visit her at least 3 times a week).

Anyways, one of the hoses (the one that goes from catch can to engine block) was coated with oil on the outside. Funny thing is that the oil did not leak anywhere but on that hose. Im not sure if oil is able to somehow get through the hose when sitting for a while but none the less im a bit worried.

Also, I know its been said before, but what the hell are those white globs that are floating in the catch can. Ive never seen it before.

Car has 17,000KM on it with catch can being on for the 300KM.

    Ideas?
    Not just another pretty fascia

White stuff in the can you can read about here...

I have a MIlky substance in my Catch Can. What do I do?

As for your hose leaking. If you bought it from us within the last 1.5 yrs that would be impossible unless you obtained a hole somewhere. Feel free to PM me your order number and I will look into it further.

My one hose does the same thing... Its almost like the hose is sweating out oil. I just wipe it off every now and then.

Then you have a seperate issue or they are not our hoses. Our hoses do not and will not sweat oil.. Its impossible unless there is a hole in it.

Not sure what to tell you. I did not put an "aftermarket" hose on, so not sure what else it could be.

And IMO, to defend your "hoses" to such a degree that its not your issue is a little disrespectful.

As you said, if "I" pay the shipping you will replace, why should I pay when its YOUR hose that is the problem.

Ill pay it because I HAVE to in order to have this fixed.

Well at least I learned my lesson on something cheep from you guys and not something that will cost me an arm and a leg for shipping.....oh wait, im in canada, it will cost me a ass load to get it.............

If you consider me having faith in a product I sell disrespectful then so be it.When I sell 400 catch cans a month with zero issues that tells me its possible the issue lies somewhere else. But Ill even do one better. Feel free to send me back the whole can and I will gladly give you a refund.

Funny part is you failed to mention our PM where you were ok with my offer.. have a good day

That was only in the beginning when they were using a different kind of hose not made for vapor, but that was years ago.

FWIW like any other hose on a car they will eventually need to be replaced. A rubber hose is a Maintenance item just like brakes or belts. lets not forget that.

While I apperciate the condescending attitude, it still does not address the fact that there are 3 people (in 4 hours) that have now reported a problem with your hose.

What is your plan to address these QA/QC issues?
