    Unhappy Wintery conditions here

The roads are very slippery. Many overpasses are closed and I called in sick. Here's a link to my person weather station. If you don't see it, input zip code 76574 and then Taylor, Cemetery View. Brr.

Thanks. It's not as cold as a lot of places up north, but not only are we not used to it, the frozen rain and sleet have turned the outside in a giant popsicle. We may get snow tonite, because it's finally cold enough.

MM, what you said about the drivers not being used to it is dead on. I saw a couple of drivers near you scare themselves silly (and others near them for that matter!) locking up their brakes and heading uncontrollably sideways on patches of ice.
Good thing you called in sick!

We're icy and sleety down here in San Antonio...temp hasn't gotten higher than 30. I've lived in Denver, Utah, & Korea, and have experience driving in icy/snowy conditions and I wouldn't dare get on the road with my fellow Texans if I didn't have to!!!!

Here's a pic of The GRL this morning:

How fast are you going, Mom? I don't want you to get another speeding ticket.

I was watching a live camera on TV and saw a guy who was taking an exit slam right into the barrier that was between the highway and the right side of his exit lane.
