    Went to the track tonight

Went to http://www.angletonraceway.comtonight after putting in the Diablo tune. Cold night, temp in car said 57*, There was more cars out there than I have seen all year. Bikes, at least 2 dozen, 8 four wheelers and about 8 JR DRAGSTERS. On a typical night I could get 5 or 6 runs in out there but tonight only 2. After one car bounced off the rail it backed everything up in the staging lanes.

Well first run on the Diablo - it felt sluggish on the bottom end. Ran a 8.97 at 79.41 mph.
Next run felt a ton better but ran 8.99 at 79.32.

I guess I should say that I just did a canned tune, changed the fan setting for the 180* t-stat and shift improvement.

I guess the SOP dyno needs calibrated. With the new tune does the car have to relearn itself?

Did you get to experiment with any of the fuel/timing settings? O/T, how does the track in angleton compare to HRP??? What about staffing (HRP seems to me to get a little "disorganized" when things get crowded...).

Yes, applying a tune does reset the adaptives...

The track in Angleton is 1/8 mile track - wish it was 1/4 !!

They have their good times and bad. In the staging lanes the dude is cool. But god forbid that something happens down track. Their biggest thing to me is downtime in between rounds. I understand they are busy in the tower but at least say something on the p.a. Not total caos but when that car hit the guard rail the cars were backed up in the staging lanes probably 20 or better deep.

If I knew where you lived I would have called ya to come on down. It would have been cool to have more than 1 LX there. I invited a buddy with his LX and he had a great time. We made several runs that night

No I didn`t change anything as far as fuel or anything like that. It is my daily driver and I drive 80 miles a day round trip for work. I work in Freeport and live in Alvin.
